This is how censorship began in the comic industry. Late one night, a man was visiting another's home and saw this comic cover:

Well, he wasn't going to accept that. He thought it was much too violent for kids, and soon a plethora of censors/editors were checking out comics left, right and center, to find out what could or could not be allowed.

All because one idiot decided he didn't want to see this image.

All because one idiot couldn't think for himself and say, "Well, I don't like this at all. But others might so I just won't buy the comic book."

Eureka.

is it considered censorship if r18 is separated into its own space? is it so outragous not wanting to see more porn? it is not an issue solved by adding filters

I wouldn't mind having a SmutHub to focus R18 content, but advocating for censorship is not the way to go. It's already happening to big sites and games and wrecking creative parts of the industry. If you don't want to read smut here, exclude the tag when you search. If a story has mature content without the tag, report it.

As for the recent censorship garbage in politics, none of it is about "protecting the kids" and it's all about the removal of end-user privacy, which big corpos want anyway. Educate yourself before you return here.
