Hi everyone ?

I'm the author of "Kuina: Rise of the All-Girl Harem" a bold, over-the-top lesbian harem fantasy novel full of action, sensuality, power dynamics, magical battles, and emotional depth, and women's love and sex:)

I'm currently looking for an artist who might be interested in turning Kuina into a:
- Webtoon
- Doujinshi
- Manga-style adaptation

This would be a creative collaboration, a paid commission 10-20 USD per page. OR revenue split, crowdfunding (like Patreon or Kickstarter), or pitching it as a full project.

What I'm looking for:
- A style that balances sexy with expressive (ecchi, fantasy, yuri vibes)
- Someone who enjoys drawing powerful female characters and bold scenes
- Someone open to wild, chaotic, and fun storytelling

Story includes: lesbian power fantasy, erotic tension, magical leveling-up through sex & combat, and a unique heroine rising to godlike status through dominance and affection alike.

If this sounds fun or you’re curious, send me a message or drop your portfolio below! Let’s make something unforgettable together.

Let’s build the yuri fantasy the world didn’t know it needed ?

:blob_hmm:Why does this feel like AI searching for AI to appeal to AI for AI views to generate AI income~.
Haha, sorry if it seems that way, but I'm serious about this. If you have anything to suggest, I'd love to know.
How much per page are you willing to pay? You forgot to mention that. No one will want to work for you for free, especially as your story is not popular.
I prefer to negotiate with someone flexible who wants to try something different. it doesn't matter if the story is popular or not, if you want, we can talk in private.

This sounds super shady. Hush-hush contracts are always a sign of something bad behind the scenes. If one has nothing to hide, they state the price upfront.
So no, thank you :)

I'm certainly not one to curtail someone's goals and aspirations, but it sounds like you're looking for a comic artist...?
I currently pay approximately $750 a month to our artists for three webcomics, and not once have I offered a "pay on profit" agreement. It's very unfair to ask for so much work from one or several artists, and say "Well, maybe I can pay you later, if my idea takes off."

It can't work like this. If you're really serious about this, you're going to need to consider securing a popular, well-known artist upfront like I did, then initiate a crowdfunding campaign like we all did to show people what we could bring to the table. But you are not going to get anyone to work that hard - for free. It takes many hours to create even a single page.

Take it from someone who has been in the comic industry a long time. If you're 100% serious about your idea and you think it can fly, get a top-notch artist on board who would agree to working through crowdfunding donations, and pray to the comic gods your idea takes off and you don't run out of funds. We've been consistently raising our comic funds since 2017, and it's paid off very well for everyone involved.

So, take this advice and see what you can do and I wish you the best of luck. Our artists have worked for Marvel, DC, Image, and other comics, and have been animators and character designers for Disney, so...that's kind of the level you're going to want to shoot for.

Again, good luck! (and if I can offer anymore feedback, please ask questions) ?

Not even SEA slaves. Ai-chan asked a quote from an Indonesian artist. She quoted USD90 for a page with 4 panels. By the way, that doesn't include colouring.
We pay one of our artists $250 a page for "The Depths", but he works a little extra for us - 10 panels or so. He's wonderful though. ?

I was that SEA Slave, but I gained respect for my craft, so nah.

Also, everyone, I asked for $5-$50 payment (and sometimes free of charge) for my work simply for the sake of friendship and community; do not mistake my kindness for slavery. ?

honestly i would focus on paying an artist to replace the current AI coverart with something original. $10-20 per page of art is nothing, with that price you’d be paying for stick figures or more AI generated sludge.

I guess I’d say ask yourself why you need this to be a graphic novel/manga/whatever now and not later down the road when you can pay a decent rate.

circling back to my first thought, from a readers perspective (well, my perspective anyways) I usually don’t give a second thought to works with AI covers because it just seems lazy and makes me question how much of the work was even written by a person. If you have $10-20 you’re willing to pay for a panel, why not save up $70-$100, shop around for an artist you like, and commission a cool cover for your series?

Yes, I can work with you. We’ll negotiate the price, and I don’t set the price myself it depends on the client’s budget and the details of the work. So, tell me, what do you think about this?
