So I got impatient with the eternal loading for firmware update and shut the power switch.

When a white spark popped I knew I was in deep shit.

And I am.

Now the bloody printer cannot be found in my windows 11 laptop via wireless or USB and the thing is stuck in Data File is Not Found with blinking power button.

Anyone know how to resolve this because I am still putting calling the professional as last resort.

Follow the instructions in this article.

Here's the direct link to you're printer.

Shoot me a message if you need any more assistance.
I actually downloaded the software already and during the process, at step five or so, the download bar stopped and it said update failed due to a bunch of reasons.

I used the method here

Example of the bar.

One of them is what I suspect, USB connection failed because when I went into my printer and device, the model is Offline and I have no clue how to connect it.

Thanks for your reply

Post a screenshot of the errors you get when it fails.
Would do it in a later time.
@Seaspecter I do not have access to the laptop right now.

But here is what the printer show after the fail to update in laptop.

Also, I need to unplug the printer because once I turn on the socket, even without me pressing the printer power switch, it will without fail go into recovery mode, Update Firmware.

You corrupted the onboard software when you powercycled it during the firmware update. You're lucky Epson put a recovery mode on this printer most of the time, when I see this the device is bricked.

Anyway, the recovery tool you download onto the laptop is supposed to push a safe version of the firmware over to the printer. So if it's failing, I'll need to know what the error codes are to figure out what's going on.

So is there any way to display the error code?

No use the firmware recovery tool.
Oo.

Also, I've contacted the Epson support and the lady told me to "fix it yourself first, then if not possible, carry the damned thing over and get rip a new asshole."

I may be paraphrasing but the initial labor cost is about half of my day pay.
