Blocking Histories made by specific authors

Recently people have been posting (Stealing) "translated" Chinese fics into other sites webnovel for example has nothing but that nowadays.

My suggestion is to be able to block these "Authors" and their posts at the same time, i sincerely feel like if nobody takes action against these people the same thing that happened with webnovel is going to happen here too.

And what stops said "author" from just logging off? You would need to set your profile private, and this snaps like 90% of your potential readers.
Everything you post on the internet is public, and someone will steal it sooner or later.

You also can't ban someone preemptively only based on their nickname, nor can you block an IP address from viewing the site. This could affect innocent people.

Some of these translators could also be creating their own stories, which wouldn't help anything either. Also, if you block/ban their profiles just because they have posted translations, then who's to say that it stops with just them. Fanfics not authorized by the original creators of worlds and characters could easily be the next step as this would also be IP (intellectual property) theft.

Again I didn't say anything about banning people i said about blocking them as in individually, like i go to their profile, block them and stop seeing their histories.

There is an adjacent function, report. If you see a translation and have a source, raw, report this novel and add source. You will stop seeing that novel, and others will as well. You will also earn out gratitude since you've helped us keep SH clean.

By your own logic, then, you would be banned for stealing other peoples' IP. Baki and MLP for 1 novel. RWBY for another (where you state it's a rewrite). And the last novel of a Kryptonian in the Marvel-verse, DC and Marvel have done crossovers and there's other fanfics with similar premises.

What I'm saying here is that it's an extremely slippery slope that you're wanting to take. Dec and Wrath have said it, just report the novels (with proof of some sort) and move on. You won't be able to block users from showing up, but you can report their novels or say you don't want to see novels with certain tags. If you, yourself don't want to report the novels, then use this website to report them anonymously. That's all there is to it.
