I am genuinely curious.

Because of how the BS they grow into homo erectus like, I was wondering if they have internal skeletal structure when conventional bugs only have exoskeleton.

A part of me says no because they did not lose their exoskeleton and hell, it can block small caliber.

A part of me says yes, why else would they grow into rape ass monkeylike with a melanin filled skin and pearly white teeth with their grins if they don't have an internal skeleton?

Sidetracking, why does Doomsday have a skeletal structure? I thought his entire organs and shit becomes one solid muscle mass in order to avoid weak points, so why does he still have a skeleton that can be prone to breakage?

Because without a skeleton you'd just be a blob of flesh incapable of movement. Even robots have skeletal frames.

*raise hand*

That is why the exoskeleton, all muscle is inside to pilot the outer shell like crabs.

It appears to be a size issue, the larger you are, the most likely to have endoskeleton instead of using exoskeleton to support structure.

Also, exoskeleton has the issue of molting where the ENTIRE bone skin needs to be peeled off when repaired. Larger size creatures have more problem in ripping the bone skin off.

What is a... terraforming roach?
Why would they turn into homo erectus and not homo sapien?

Doomsday from DC was an adapting kryptonian. So he started with an endoskeleton.

And all bones are gross.

Sez you.

The reason why roches have an exo skelly is because they're so small a hard shell can hold their organs inside. Try that with a human and you'll end up, as previously mentioned, a pile of flesh and skin on the ground because our organs weigh a whole lot more than whats inside a roach. :blob_cookie:

Wouldn't a rigid exoskeleton act as a jar to hold the squishy stuff?

It will but imagine it being a water baloon. It will hold everything inside, but dont expect it to be rigid. Without a backbone that will happen to humans if we have exo skellys instead :blob_cookie:

Eww.

Wouldn't a solid exoskeleton rectify the issue?

Also another issue, a thicker exo skelleton means more of the body's resources need to be processed to build it. If its made of bone, you wouldn't be able to move and anything softer will turn you into a water baloon :blob_cookie:

ps : There are decapitated women and even NTR(cheating) from a wife
(in form of flashback story while we see the story plot of this side character)
(while the guy is dying on mars / the guy knew as his baby didnt have the organ that "special humans" have and descendants should have. They are both in love hence why he (and readers) cant understand why she would cheat on him. And its not like the doujin logic of "small pp vs big d" works, as 1 its not a doujin, 2 the husband isnt jp, 3 there is a reference to coocoo birds about taking care of others' babies, to which author doesnt explain at all if its a fetish of the woman or not)

pps : A eldritch god, saw what humans created. And was disgusted. And left.

Well I was thinking about human sized crabs that is human shaped and the only flexible bits are the joints and hip.
It's a weight to power issue. Bone is rather heavy.
Was thinking about that too, that is why the human sized roaches who looks like homo erectus can block bullets.

I am however still perturbed if that they have both an exoskeleton as well as an endoskeleton.
