That actually sounds cute... Welll anyway. I like horrors. I genuinely like the feeling of fear. That's the reason why I like when I dream of nightmares. And they tend to have better storylines than ordinary dreams for me. But I have zero immunity to horror games and it's just so damn scary for me to play them even if watching from the sidelines is quite fine
Isn't it the suspense, music and the pov that makes the horror game scary?

Well, you should set light on while gaming, make the game play either on low, mute or just play another music. A friend might make it better or worse... but let's forget it.
Well it's not cool but you can decide to not use full screen mode (assuming you are using a PC to play).

Well, I definitely won't use windowed for one reason only. My eyesight is bad and it's better to have the game on a huge screen for me. Music... I try using this, listening to something else while playing and with the lights on. As for the friend... I doubt I'll find anyone willing to talk at 5 AM XD

Thanks for your suggestions, Sio

Well the thing about games is that you concentrate more, the more fun it is. And the more focus you put in it, the more you get into the role, it's gets more easier to got scared xD

Well that's mostly my opinion.

Well, I totally agree with this opinion. And for me, this is even more apparent due to how easily I can imagine myself in place of the MC. Tbh even Skyrim sometimes scares me with sudden Draugr or skeleton or Falmer or Dwemer automaton

Don't know much of games but I think you wouldn't be so scared if you break your focus once in a while XD

As for breaking focus... even taking a break every 10 mins won't help. I've tried playing ParanormalHK and Silver Chains like that. To be honest the only horror game I completed was The Sinking City. But it was more of an action game with horror elements. It was unsettling in the beginning but later... well it was still unsettling later on, especially in buildings when you suddenly hear the roar of that huge monstrosity or squishing sounds of other monsters. I've always shuddered during such moments.

Well, it always the sounds xD

Btw, if you want to do the opposite. Play in darkness set headphones on with loud volume. And maybe use 3D glasses if you have it, just to make it worse, have a friend who are great on scaring you!

Anyway good night~

Amazingly enough, I was never scared of the stuff in Skyrim...just of my incompetence and of the PS3 freezing and losing my progress
*crow wonders if anyone has developed slayer art's yet~*
???
I put up the book and gave a gentle smile "I'll let you drink a bit, I think I know a vampire that's drank my blood before and it was quite ticklish, though they tried to tell me that I have fainted from a small cut." Thinking of Liana I wondered if she knew I knew the truth, I was still lucid for the first half of the feeding afterall. ( @Nahrenne for mention)

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

The only Horror game I ever considered buying was this one: https://store.steampowered.com/app/356670/Spookys_Jump_Scare_Mansion/

It had a really fun premise, and I saw a bit of gameplay footage and there were some moments that genuinely scared me with the cuteness~

... But the late game apparently stopped being cute, so it felt like it wouldn't be for me, so I gave up on it.

Well, it runs mostly smoothly for me if you do not count random crashes. And I have Climates of Tamriel mod to enhance weather and make nights and dungeons somewhat darker so...

Oh, I know that game and yeah the late game is totally not cute. The thing is I like ghosts so any game featuring ghosts is interesting for me. I have ideas to play Dark Fall due to that reason (a point and click horror adventure).
