Those AI translations actually get more views and readers than original works in this site, huh?

New objective unlocked: write a story in the style of AI translations. Let's see how popular it will get.

Traffic.

While we don't know for sure how the trending works, we could assume it's based on traffic, most likely unique views, and has nothing to do with actual content. I don't think the site has rating and ranking system of the Royal Road, it very clearly works different way.

Stories which could be updated daily, or even several times a day, would logically get more traffic.

You can't write "AI style story" because that in itself would do anything, even if it gets through the approval process.

You need to get it out fast enough.

Speed is the key. Got it.

What is the criteria for knowing if something is Content generated? AI checkers are unreliable. If it's based on Verbosity, then Classic lit fans such as myself are fucked, as that's our bread and butter. That's how we learned to write. So how?

Carefully.

You could make a really fringe-applicable argument that anyone using a word processor is using "AI" to some degree as most auto-correct/complete systems, grammar-checkers, etc. are pared-down LLMs.
Almost every application today is marketed with the "AI features" these days.

So, yes, even using something basic as Chrome or Firefox could be classified as "AI assisted".

This post is "AI assisted".

At least one or more of the following applies to the majority of users:
- Use Windows 11. and will use Windows 11 in the future once support of 10's ends.
- use Google Chrome, Opera GX, Firefox with in-build AI features, or at least are marketed as such
- use Google Docs with in-build AI features, or at least are marketed as such
- use new versions of Word in-build AI features, or at least are marketed as such
- use Pro-Writing Aid considered AI assisted or at least are marketed as such
- use Grammarly , or at least are marketed as such
- use Thesaurus, assuming it does have a web interface and isn't the literal paper book

Well, I'm in the mood tonight, so I guess I'll read a bit of the stuff on the latest page and report the ones that turn out to be AI.

Don't take names because we shouldn't accuse anyone no matter how obvious it is, but just mention how many out of how many you think are AI.

Reporting the stories has nothing with publicizing their names.

Though I do disagree on the part where we shouldn't call out those who post AI generated works. Of course, it'll just be unnecessary stress on our part unless they have the audacity to claim it as an original work of theirs on the forum.

As for how many, at least three out of the first page are AI, which is 3 out of 25 new works, though they're the only ones I've checked out since I can somewhat sniff out the LLM in the synopses.

So as not to make any mistakes, If it's not glaringly obvious and I'm still somewhat unsure, I don't report it. Don't want to hurt innocent bystanders.

You can do something way more productive. Report translations. Despite what people on SHF say, barely anyone bothers to report translations. Let me reiterate, no one cares if translation pops up in a genre they don't read. So yeah, if you want to actually do something good instead of just farming brownie points on a forum, look for translations on trending. Moreover, it's not as hard finding them.

Alright. Will do. Though I didn't see the need to be this bitchy about it.

That's how I am. ?‍♂️
Yeah, you're an asshole, knew that already.

That aside.

There are works that stated that they're translations in the synopsis, do those needed to be reported too?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only translations allowed are those linked to NU, and these ones usually don't show up when you search them up, and aren't qualified for trending, right?

So any work that is a translation that shows up in search, latest series, latest updates, and trending is meant to be reported.
