It was originally published in English and I think it was on ScribbleHub. The genre was in western fantasy. I think he transmigrates into a minor antagonist and the antagonist was in a clan. During the later chapters he went to an island and I think his dragon companion died there and he possibly gained a dragon body or smth. He also met a Nine-Tailed Fox ancient lady and I think was sealed inside a pyramid(?). I think he also went on a ship or something similar and had to solve a murder mystery. I'm not too sure on this but his dragon companion is possibly named Kon.


Edit: Found it. It was Reincarnated in a Shounen Manga, and it was on RoyalRoad.

Are you asking about a light novel? I know several with the 'fish-to-dragon' plot, but I dunno the names too. It's been years.

'I was a small fish when I reincarnated, but it seems I can turn into a dragon'. This one is most obvious.

No, it was a web novel originally in English and I think was published on ScribbleHub. And the MC doesn't transmigrate into a fish but into I think a minor antagonist and was in a clan.

Carp->dragon is a very old and common motif. Might be some daoist thing, or off-the-cuff wuxia reference?

The genre was in western fantasy and had some Japanese names/titles. Iirc the nine-tailed fox lady had a Japanese title.

Sounds almost like a Pokemon fan-fic of some sort. Especially with the Magicarp that can evolve into a dragon-thing.
