Story complaints and getting roasted in reviews?

So by now I've had the chance to set up several stories and several sites not just scribblehub. I do really like Scribblehub though. I can't say I know other sites out there? (Is there something really good to put your story up on besides Royal Road?)

Well, what I actually am posting about... it looks like sometimes when I get a bad review or whatever that its actually readers mad that I'm not posting chapters fast enough! If you put up chapters quickly it seems like even if the writing is trashy they won't give you bad reviews.

I'm curious if others had noticed this?

...

Anyway, this used to bug me. But its not as big a deal now. I kind of expect that every now and then there will be a revenge review. Part of why I hope readers will be patient, is I've always tried to do really LONG and DETAILED chapters. So if I put up a chapter its 2 or 3 chapters of what someone else will do. So it doesn't always seem fair to me about this. But it is what it is.

Some sites are better for some types of stories - there is a long thread somewhere in the top section of the site - I think Corty did it, that lists plusses and minuses for a lot of sites, ranging from SubStack to Royal Road to Tapas to HoneyFeed to SpaceBattles.

"You don't post often enough" is not really a review.

If someone puts that as a review then it should be reported.
Nope, but apparently there are a group so entitled they’ll post this. It is like they cannot process people have a life, and they can’t devote every moment to releasing something.

Personally, I dodged this bullet, because I have a ton of stuff released. And by the time I post again, I typically have a lot to release or update.

So, it isn’t uncommon for me to go weeks to months without something new.

Any extra information about some of these sites would be appreciated! Please add more to the thread so I can update it.

Wow. Thanks. I haven't heard of several of those you mentioned. Very cool. You've given me some things to look at.
You people are getting comments? I only have one person who regularly comments on my stories...
Wow you have interesting art. I like it.

It used to be easier to get comments before the jab shutdowns. I think that made it a lot harder for us.

Having a lot of stuff released does help. Thanks for commenting.
