What would you do with your unfertilized eggs?

I saw @Ron-Ran's profile post today and wondered:

Imagine if humans were like chickens and we laid eggs on a monthly basis and only fertilized eggs go on to hatch. Unfertilized eggs would basically be like chicken eggs in the sense that they would never hatch or grow into anything.

Clearly, it would be absurd to save/fertilize every egg because that would be like twelve babies per year which is really ridiculous.

This raises the question of what you would do with your unfertilized eggs. Would you bury them? Throw them in the compost? Feed them to your cat? I am curious what you would do.

Kinky.

We'd probably have a ton of traditions related to that, including some really weird ones, different in each part of the world.

I see potential for Valentine's day, or for courting, or something in that vein.

This is a special occasion though. In general I would find a person to give them to.

I thought this was about regular human eggs...
But I suppose my opinion would be shaped by how others deal with them. Which probably would be a form of compost or consumption.

If you eat your own unfertilized eggs is it considered self-cannibalism? Asking for a friend.

But we already laid eggs on a monthly basis. It's called menstruation. The difference is now we can make easter egg from it.
Bird egg-laying is cleaner and I don't think(?) they cramp.

Tbh I'm not sure. I don't have a bird I can ask.
