Hello. As you could guess by the name, here I am going to talk and pour my tilt of trying to learn drawing from nothing.
Those are my actual first tries, so expect it to be bad, not gonna lie.

Drawing in Krita, at least for now.

Attempt 1 - The worst one. I just opened the app and started drawing. It came out meh, worse part is that paining fucked up.

Attempt 2 - Slightly better, but the face is way too round. Also, no shadows.

Attempt 3 - Just some random stuff like practicing hands and NOT round faces. Also, as you can see, the only hair that I can do is that messy spiky one, straigth hair looks even worse.

Attempt 4 - Using hands on in the drawing itself. Turned out not as bad as I thought it would. And finally, i did some shadows and light! Also, there is nsfw version of it too, but i am not sure if i can show it here. Also, the sword is bigger but image weights too much for this app, so i had to cut it.

Attempt 5 - I just got a random idea while playing zzz to draw Rina. So, i tried to copy the screenshot. It does not look bad, but has one issue - i can't paint it becouse lines are too thin and it fucks up.

That's all for now, whenever i have around 5 more attempts, i may do a second post. I am pretty much open to any critique, just remember that those are my first tries. BUt you still can be harsh if you want :D

Look up things about perspective. It will be the most helpful practice for any form of art. No matter how good you get, continue to work on perspective.

But once you do that and can draw freehand 3d shapes from every perspective without needed to worry. Try moving onto anatomy practice.

I know these are both painful options, but it are what you need. Also, note that learning shadows and lighting is a part of perspective. (So look into that before anatomy, also, perspective will help you figure out the style you are comfortable with. Character art or not.)

Go do the Da Vinci Initiative Bargue lessons on youtube. Plus North Kentucky Drawing Database on YouTube. Also grind through Gurney's Imaginative Realism and Light and Color from your local public library.

Juliette Aristides's workbooks.

What software are you using? Personally I use procreate for iOS, which is super smooth and easy to work with. For a tablet are you using one with a screen? I use an iPad, I tried drawing without a screen but I just couldn’t get used to moving the pen while looking at the monitor

I would learn basic anatomy/proportions first. After that gradually study anatomy and perspective together. With anatomy some simple character sheets and profile pics are doable.

What I very, very solemnly advice for any artist of every stage, is to do warming up exercises for hand-eye-coordination before starting to draw.

I agree that you can. But I think building from an understanding of perspective is more effective and generally applicable.
