Most of this is just a short rant, but I thought artists and some looking for artists might want to know that Fiverr is not all it's cracked up to be, certainly not what it used to be. There are some good alternative websites out there to hire freelancers for the same kinds of things.

All that being said, I will never be using their services again. Basically I was unable to launch or start any projects due to technical bugs (on their end). Upon contacting their support, my issue was ignored, I was told six times, yes SIX TIMES to confirm my email (only one I use with them), which should have nothing to do with the issue anyway. After more back and forth I was basically told, in polite customer service script language, to go f*ck myself. Keep in mind this is just one of many other separate issues I've recently had with them, such as getting locked out of my account despite having the correct credentials, since their forced 2FA is glitchy and wonky as hell. If five separate machines of hardware including some fully up to date on spects cannot log into a website, there is a problem, and not with me.
Am I gonna get any justice for all of this? Probably not at all.
Do I still feel ever so slightly better for maybe encouraging artists to try other platforms and take their business elsewhere? Yes, yes I do.

I will go have a snack now. Peace out!

Was it better before?
It didn't feel as broken before as it does now. Most of the technical issues I've had with them did not happen overnight; it's been gradual, some browsers not playing nice, sometimes it was the app not confirming sign-ins, etc. I can't speak for their business-quality since, well, I can't even use it anymore. I don't think that element has changed much if at all. [By this, I simply mean, the process of using services, hiring, payments, refunds, etc.]

Well I've been using Fiverr for some time now and I've never had any problems with them to be honest. A friend had some issues but it was easily solved with customer service. I think maybe you just had some bad luck (?) If you were trying to create gigs and hadn't put anything there + had any funds, you can just use a different email and create a new account since you have no reviews and such (at least that's what I understood).

What's the alternative to Fivver anyway? That weird vtuber site where you can commission people to do assets?
Vgen! The problem with Vgen is that they don't "hold your money" so your transaction goes straight to the artist's Paypal. They are very focused on solving scams but it's always a bigger risk imo. Other than that you have other platforms but they are not as focused on low freelance service I think, like Upwork, Freelance, PeopleperHour, etc

It is most likely bad luck; I agree with this much. However, the way customer service has responded to my technical inquiries has made me decide to cease all business with them. Vgen looks like a better option, even if it isn't as large yet.
I doubt a new fiverr account would help anyway, since the issue is technical and does not go away across 5 different devices. You would think different browsers, different computers, operating systems, apps, etc. would change that, but nope. That said, I am well-known for having the WORST luck of all time with technology, so maybe it is a bit of that too.

...Reminds me of the time I barely touched my old teacher's pc and it died in two seconds.
