Look, we all have our snobbish side. Name one person who isn't super pedantic about at least one thing.

I'm a super pedantic guy. Here's a list of things that I will go full-on nerd emoji about.
  1. Binomial nomenclature
It's Genus species, guys. Come on. I sometimes see this shit on government/scientific websites and it pisses me off.
  2. People calling the instrumental component of a song the "beat"
The beat is just one part of the instrumental, Becca.
  3. What is and isn't emo music
My Chemical Romance isn't emo. They're pop-punk with post-hardcore influences in their earlier stuff, making them emo-adjacent at best. The same goes with FOB, PATD, Paramore, Blink-182, Linkin Park, BMTH, and most bands of the Hot Topic Myspace era. I will not elaborate.
  4. People thinking shounen/shoujo/seinen/josei are genres and not demographics
This is a safe space for your snobbery.

My third eye is always open for you. :blob_okay:
What are you still doing in the physical plane if you've opened your third eye?

Notice: When its about physics or psychology or about anime-nya.
I think Freud was right in more ways than we give him credit for. We just don't like to confront the freaky parts of ourselves.

Anything to do with swords. I do HEMA so I can't enjoy most sword fights in novels anymore :blob_pat_sad:
*racks brain for information about swords to go special interest for special interest* umm, end him rightly?

Height and small people stuff...

Under four feet and ten inches is considered a "small person" or midget. Midget is also not a preferred term to use as it got used as a derogatory term a lot. Dwarf is also not the same thing (dwarfism being someone who is disproportionate). My aunt had a form of dwarfism (spinal issue) while I am borderline a small person because of height but my limbs are fully proportionate.

Warcraft lore up to the Legion Expansion for WoW. But it has to be specific for me to get ornery and correct people.

Big yap incoming about the most common types of swords found within fantasy:
Longsword: very nimble and fast.

Rapier: contrary to popular belief, it is much slower than longswords since it has the weight of a longsword but you can only use it in one hand. Rapier is also FAR from flashy. There are two main archetype of rapiers: Generic Italian (the one where the lunges a lot) and Veradera Destreza (MY BELOVED) which is much more aggressive (contrary to popular belief even in the HEMA community).

Sidesword: many often confuse it for rapier. Well, it's just a rapier but more cutty and (often) less complex guard. It is also the "flashy" fencing that people often think rapier does.

Saber: two main type: Military and Polish (sorry Hungarians). Military saber is lighter, have a more protective guard, and is flashier. Polish sabers are freaking heavy. If you value your wrist, don't use a Polish saber like a Military saber.

Arming sword: People often call it the shortsword. It's basically just a worse sidesword since it only has a simple cross guard.

Smallsword: What normal people ACTUALLY think about when they hear about rapiers. They're really light and can only thrust. I hate them.

Objective quality. People try to protect the things they enjoy from criticism by saying everything is a subjective opinion, but if you press them (and if they're actually capable of arguing in good faith) you can usually get them to admit that something can be objectively bad quality. Like, imagine a book where every other word is misspelled, there's little to no punctuation, no breaks in paragraphs so that the entire story is one massive wall of text, and plot holes are so common that things that happened half a page ago are being forcibly retconned because the author has the memory of a goldfish. Most people agree that this hypothetical book would, indeed, be objectively bad. So if it's possible for something to be objectively bad, then logically it must also be possible for something to be objectively good, right?

To quote Jack Sparrow, "Wonderful! We've established my proposal is sound in principle, and now we're just haggling over price!"

Unfortunately, most people I've gotten into this debate with aren't capable of arguing in good faith. That's because they don't actually care about objective quality. They're just see their favorite franchise get criticized and have an emotionally driven need to defend the billion-dollar corporation that made it, and the easiest way to discredit the criticism is to accuse it of being just a subjective opinion.

Hand waving really complex technology. Like for example, 3d printing everything. With today's technology one could 3d print a circuit board. They are called PCBs for a reason, but 3d printing semi-conductors makes me go "Reee"

Even if someone could 3d print nano-scale transistors, 3d printers are just that... printers... they print one-thing-at-a-time. Even if your sci-fi 3d printer could print 1 transistor a second that is still 11 days to make a million transistor chip. And that is not even connecting them.

There are many types of daggers, but I'm guessing you're talking about the ones that don't have any complex guard. Just use them like a modern dagger.

A katana is basically a worse longsword with no hand protection.
Scimitar? It's basically a Polish saber.
Greatsword/Spadone/Zweihander/Montante is just a really big longsword. You swing it as usual but use the momentum more.
Dual swords are often two sideswords. They're really flashy and super effective. I recommend searching up 'Bolognese Dual Sideswords.'
Jian... it's complicated. Jians are a nobleman's weapon (don't quote me on that). There's two styles of Jian that I know of: A flashy type for performance's sake, and a practical type that fights basically like an arming sword.

Futa x female is not Yuri despite what some people on this site will tell you.

Its future tech, they have done away with the millions of transistors and developed somethng better.

Armaments. Firearms specifically, but this also goes woth swords, knives, daggers, bows, etc... a lot of misinformation involving them all, which gives people the wrong idea.
