If you're here, then I think it's safe to assume you enjoy writing. But what is your LEAST favorite thing about it?

For me, it's rewriting. Nothing kills my enthusiasm worse than realizing the story I've written so far won't lead organically into where I want it to go, or maybe I'm just not satisfied with the way things currently are, and it dawns on me just how much I'm going to have to rewrite before it gets back into a state where I'm able to keep keeping going. Because I'm not the kind of writer who can decide to fix earlier parts of the book later and keep chugging onwards. No, if the early parts of my book need to be fixed, I have to bring everything to a screeching halt to take care of it right now before I can progress the plot a step further. And at that point, it's a 50/50 chance I'll just give up and start a new project (which will undoubtedly end the same way)

Watching my MC completely ruin my plans by going right while I planned everything to go left.
But I have only me to blame, by restricting myself to "run" just the world, and making every NPC and MC have their own "wills". It makes everything both alive and unpredictable - which is nice, but can be annoying.

I love writing but my least favorite part is how bad I am at it :blob_no: I'm a good reader so I know what needs to be fixed / improved but I lack the skill to actually do it and it drives me crazy lol

Tragic scenes or drama. Because it's always a 'flip the coin' situation : either I'll get really into it like I have personal grudges and issues to project, or I will stare blankly at the page because my polite brain just can't imagine how a really bad person would think and why someone would hurt another without valid reasons

Not being able to clearly write the scenes the way I wanted them to play out.

The first draft, I always hate looking at the first draft and trying to figure out WTF I was trying to say after I just wrote it and knowing I still have to delete half of what I just wrote because its just words filling a count. I never like reading my work until after the third draft.

Not being able to beautify, diversify and whatever else to the wordings, to make the writing not so stale but I just can't for now because of exhaustion and/or lack of motivation.
