I am currently finding it difficult to squeeze time for writing with all my projects, internals etc for my final year of college

Please let me know if there is a way to write faster without diminishing my story quality

Unfortunately, there isn’t.

What I can recommend though.

1. Thoroughly plan your story.

2. Ensure the end point.

3. Write a bit each day, doesn’t have to be too much, though the words add up.

One of the best tip is "write it bad".

You can edit and fix bad

You can't do anything with an empty document.

You don't know how to perfectly word something?

Just write stuff. "She is standing in a curving street and can't see far. She hears noise coming from ahead, and gets worried."

You won't ship that line, but you can use it as a springboard.

When I type on my phone it LOVES to help me by making lines come out like that... Fortunately I edit on my PC...

Try using voice-to-text programs and dictate your drafts in your free moments. Then you can edit them later. This advice isn't about quality, of course, but about time management.

I know just the right magic spell for you. "Abjabjubje" Just say it three times before you start writing and see the wonderful results.
Trust me bro, it works!
If it doesn't then you just haven't spelled it right. Try again till it works.

It took me a second, before I realized you are not talking about two characters. I guess that's my cue, I've shipped too many pairs.
Ahh, sorry. Game dev jargon slipped in unnoticed. We use "shipping" games as the shorthand for what we give to the player.

It's used in software development and movies as well, but nowhere near as often as we do in games, allegedly.

The "Shipping" phase really is all about the final steps like finishing, polishing and releasing the game.

"Known shippable" is the term for bugs we're aware of, but feel like they can be in the game on day 0.

"Ship it!" is commonly heard when people are showing art, demo, etc. As a way to congratulate (Good work!) or simply say "that's more than good enough to go in the game as is"

No worries ^^ I'm also a dev, well full stack web dev (curse), but I just turn off the work here, so I have connected shipping with... Y'know :blob_hide: And I got really passionate lately about author clearly pushing the wrong ship!
