I live in Indonesia, and people here seldom reads. Heck, we seldom walk unless nature calls.

Anyways, seeing as the time here is different from Middle East, North East, America, et cetera et cetera, I wanted to ask you guys the best time to release a novel.

1. Is it in busy hours or break times?
2. What time of the day, is it? Midnight, dawn, morning, midday, afternoon, or evening?
3. What regional time should I follow with? Is it the most famously known Greenwich, or should I just follow the local regional clock that is centered on the capital of Jakarta?
4. Does the regional differences affect what audience will see my works, or is that non-existent?

That's it for now, I almost 5 ready for release, just gotta schedule them to release together someday, and it'll hopefully be when all the questions in this thread is answered.

I greatly appreciate those who took the time to provide each their own responses.

I would say since it takes the process a while... start the application on thursday to have it ready for Saturday/Friday
I had the novel in draft for about 3 days and today's a Friday, so is today a prime time for batch releasing some chapters?

How many chapters did you load with the first one, or did you only load one? I would suggest bringing the total to five ASAP if you have not already sent that many - but then do no more than 1 a day to avoid triggering anti-spam filters.

Thank you for the concerns, but don't worry, I haven't even finished the 4th, let alone having 5 chapters as of the time of writing this.

So it is advisable to batch release 5 chapters altogether at the same time, and never do it again in the future, only 1 chapter at a time?

Use a website to calculate your time zone to a chosen US hour as most users are from there. Best if you also add multiple cities so you cover it coast-to-coast as time zones are different in NY and LA.

Most people won't start to read a novel that has less than 10 chapters, they will wait until there are a few more to read. So, in the beginning, it's advisable to release a big batch on the first day, so that you can have your first readers, and then once a day (at least for a week or two), so that your novel can appear often on the home page.

After that, normally you'll already have a few readers who check out your novel regularly, so you can slow down if you want.

To sum up : Mak sure to have at the very least a dozen of chapters in backlog before you start posting

Not exactly; IME, it's best to release the first five chapters as quickly as you can (whether this is in a batch of five, or two the first day and three the next, or one a day for five days does not make a LOT of difference), and then keep a steady release schedule after that.
