Wuxia and Cultivation fiction

Don't. Wuxia/Xianxia cultivation stories have all the bad tropes in fantasy. OP MC, forgettable villains, cookie cutter plotlines, etc.

?‍ Wuxia makes me think of flying kung-fu fighting and I never heard of cultivation beyond the Monkey King until I started posting online. I'm fine with OP MC if done right but not the last two if it can be avoided. An ocassional forgetable mid-boss is fine. Some people find what I think are cookie cutter plotlines compelling.
