I like female, femboy, futa and tomboy, I debated whatever to add multiple choices but it would kinda defeat the point of choosing your favorite

I'm far from famous on here, but I'm known for my Mysthavia series (Lay the Dragon and DragonBound) being dragon-girl smut series. my current work has pivoted from scalie to furry (Fractured Bonds, formerly known as Fursekai). In short, a lot of Furry writing, with a few lgbt relationships, tomboy, shortstacks, even a few futas in Mysthavia.

edit: When I say smut, it's a little misleading. It's plot with uncensored sex, while smut generally means plot is second to porn or even porn-driven plot. But there isn't really a genre for "fantasy adventure that just happens to have sex scenes".

I think the opposite is true; you are using the smut genre/tag correctly by giving a proper plot, while those without a plot or a porn exclusive plot should be tagged "pure erotica" or just "porn" instead. Smut implies that the erotica isn't gratuitous.

ahh. I've gotten the other approach a lot - "smut means it's just porn. Erotica is plot with porn." but again, erotica usually seems to be more female-friendly/emotionally driven porn rather than action based.

But since there doesn't seem to be any solid definitions (unlike other genres, like fantasy), I usually just clarify to prevent people reading and thinking "I thought this would be porn!!" like, no. It's definitely pornographic in certain scenes, but there is an actual world and plot and character development. but just as sex exists in the real world, so too does it exist in mine.

Erotica just means art with erotic/sexual themes. It covers the most tame innuendo to the most hardcore porn, but there should be a distinction between smut and porn, despite them both being similar but different forms of erotica.
