I get ideas from basically anything. Hell, took a look at some iguanas conversing and came up with iguana conspiracy for part of a story. ?

This one, the idea behind it. That the characters were each drawn in on promises, dreams to be filled. Things were going good for a while, until then they were slowly cut off, leading into the contained room.

From there, one watches from on top their throne. Commanding the line beneath, pulling the strings with their tests.

Their finger tips on the keys, putting forward tests while panic ensues in the horrific place. The slim hope to make it to the top and challenge the Program Master.

Failure resulting in deletion. The bloody corpses lining the field, terrors around every corner. :blob_evil:

Spending time in RR is suffering.
Could you elaborate your distaste for royal road.

In theory, more writing sites is more better. LOL

However, in practice, I see two things I dislike. The first is that in Royal Road people use bots to manipulate ratings and reviews (I dislike Webnovel for the same reason). Secondly, I constantly see stories that aren't breaking any rules get arbitrarily banned because they could have been breaking the rules, but the moderators were too lazy to do their due diligence and make sure beforehand. If the site says no smut, then that's fine; the authors should follow the rules, but banning arbitrarily romance stories without smut because it could have smut in the future is just bad moderating.

when u realize you are addicted to reading and the site goes down you feel miserable :(
Worse: when you’ve been editing directly on the site, and are trying to write a new chapter… but the version on your computer is literally weeks behind on 90% of chapters.

Hasn’t technically stopped me, but it HAS effectively stymied me, by having significantly hamstrung my capacity for consistent representation of characters and-related narrative vocal integration: if I re-immerse with what I have now — the pre-edited monstrosity? It will be at peril of holding two states simultaneous in the mind — an impossibility, and a worse blight upon storytelling than any others in theoretical existence: utterly absent directionality, quantum-esque multistatic intentions sans-sublimity in parity, a-right-irregular-meandering-mess, and, well…

In a word — which will *actively harm* dyslexic and hyperlexic individuals alike:

tsloLolsotltsimsolostsavemepleaseicantfindtheexitotsotls.

^It does this to a story^

— Gets it hella lost in the saucer as it moseys its way into my teacup and starts squirming there in the scalding-hot water.

I should be thankful that crystallisation has been achieved. Therefore however long it takes to begin ‘writing' the chapter? Doesn’t matter. It’s already completed, regardless of when the words finally detail the central scene… but there are *major changes* in the edits I need to keep abreast of to not put a finger of poison into my chapter. (I’m not a heavy drinker of toxins, and thus there is considerable concern that it might well erode the whole work from the inside without my knowing!)

Serves me right for being weeks in the waiting :D

It could even be, in a very distant and perhaps silly way: considered my fault.

What are the odds that I should waste weeks vacillating between too-sick-to-exist and too-tired-to-put-convincing-words-to-keyboard (let alone think)… and only on the DAY that I not only have the capacity, but also the will, the health, the wakefulness, and the necessary INSANITY to write…

… Site goes down. ;_;

Ironic… or fated? D:

Ha! This is funny to me. Because I'm writing a little smutty side project under a different alias. I publish it under the pretense of "spicy progression fantasy" Really trying to adhere to their 10%/15% rule. Still waiting for the :blob_thor:ban hammer to drop me on RR. Doing my best to edit the excessive stuff out and plop it elsewhere. Already got warned once, for showing a little cleavage on the cover. It's ridiculous.

I started out on Royal Road a few years back, but ended up leaving entirely for Scribble Hub because of the moderators. I had an inquiry about some content in one of my stories that I thought was skirting the line of what's acceptable, so I went ahead and made a ticket to ask about it. I ended up making some mistake while trying to quote the part I was particularly concerned about and it didn't show up for the mod who responded - yet instead of being patient and letting me fix the issue or show it to them some other way they just assumed it wouldn't be allowed and closed the ticket before I could respond, without ever actually reading it themselves.

At the time I was double posting between there and here (Terror in Ryokan is the story) and I'd gotten in contact with Tony over the same issue. Not only did he actually read the part in question, but he gave me the green light despite it containing some pretty dark themes. Considering I was still relatively new, it just gave me a totally different impression in terms of actually giving a damn about the people who use their site, so I didn't hesitate to ditch RR and started only uploading here. Honestly, I ditched it so hard that a few months went by before it occurred to me that readers of my main story (Micah Ever After) had no idea I'd jumped ship and I had to go back and tell them there were more chapters here.

Haven't looked back since. I dunno what's going on over there these days, but Scribble Hub is just so much better. Hope the site issues get fixed soon.

First episode was pretty darn good.

Absolutely loved the actress who played the Main Character’s mother. Unbelievably good job. Absolutely mental. Directly up there with Hugo Weaving’s performance in The Interview (not the one with Lil Kimmy). Masterful. I only have good things to say. Only good things; and I am less a font of words and more an eruption that shakes the Earth and darkens its skies every time I speak.

Though, there’s low bars in it too (very poor actors). Still, 10/10, I would watch that woman act again.
