Appraisal

"Mister... Till, is it?

"You should not read those books, you have not learned the necessary mental protections to safeguard yourself... Tread this path any further, and you'll be risking not only yourself, but your family as well.

"Moreover, something is... Amiss on you. I can feel it... I am afraid I cannot quite pinpoint it, but there is something influencing you, something very dangerous.

"Please head to the city's temple as soon as possible. You need help, more than you imagine... For the sake of your family, please head to the temple, now.

"I'll pray for your safety, the guild appreciates the investigation you led so far, but you should not continue it until you're safe, please...

"May The Goddess give you the strength to do that which you must do, to fight against the urges that will lead you astray, and may she ensure that your sights are always set on that which you need the most, that your goals are not thwarted, and that you remain true to your ideals, while doing what you can for those that you love."

*puts hand on your forehead*
*a faint light moves from her chest all the way through her arm, to your head, and then to your chest*

"This is all I can do for you now, mister Till. Please seek help, you need it more than you imagine. I'll pray for you."

D. You need 3 players to open a new region
You can open a new region if you get references from 3 different players for a location.

There is a new change today - once you have three player references, PM @GM along with the 3 players who made the references -- and we'll talk about what the quest board looks like totally in advance. There won't be this annoying back-and-forth about what the in-character GM wants (or doesn't want), and instead we'll settle it all entirely OOC.

The planning for the new region will be done completely over PM with the players who did the initial region discovery.

Note: If it's for an emergency purpose (e.g. no higher rank regions available), @GM can waive the 3 player requirement to something like a 2 player requirement, but ideally 3 sources is best for diversity of ideas in the region.

E. Don't start big Scribel City events without community approval
Basically, don't throw a dragon attack at Scribel City unless you've talked about it OOC and the idea seems to be liked

A good rule-of-thumb to operate by is that you shouldn't pursue an event unless it looks like you have at least three players willing to participate in it. However, for particularly drastic events, @GM may veto a nuclear bomb falling on Scribel City. :blob_happy::blob_happy::blob_happy:

+ + +

Anyhow, that's it! Thank you everyone!

Kinda been mulling over whether I ought to say anything at all, or that my opinion is at all relevant to the things happening at large...

So to begin with, I'd say that we all come from varying cultures and background and may have read very different books growing up, and that even our view on "truth" and "reality" conforms to norms or common sense in varying degrees.

Due to that reason we might find ourselves subscribing more easily to various parts of hard Science fiction/fantasy or soft science fiction/fantasy, on the one side things HAVE to work, on the other you have more plot holes and there are syllables in a sentence. The point is, I don't think we all accept the same specifics, we all have certain peeves and we all have certain soft spot we are willing to forgive too much.

And this world Tonia is a collaborative effort, so sadly none of use own a place or a lore, not like our own fiction. But that is also what makes it a communal and a shared experience. For that reason, I can say things like, I met a ghost on the road to Spire Reef, and that plants a beginning of a quest chain a player might pick it up or they might not. It shouldn't matter. because if it falls I can plant it again in a different' way. I can't be too enamoured with a story because I don't own it, I have to love it not because it is mine but other people have added colour to it.

The mind set I feel is that if I am to play and to add, I have to be patient, for my character I can do storylines but for the world, I can't force an idea, it needs consensus that that takes time so it can blossom and bloom. So if I have an idea I really like, I plant the seed for it, one that should be largely incomplete, and I wait, if it doesn't grow in one way, I will change it up and let it become something else or if i like dump it let it become someone else's problem.

And that is the foundation of what I want to say next, we have things that we don't realize we care about in the world world, just look out for those, I am not saying give up a core believe that makes you who you are, but for the context of this find a middle ground.

Just to grab a random example, I KNOW my idea of the merchant guild is different from @ohko's and also different from @GDLiZy's, but I think some kind of thing that make sense for every one is hard, but its rewarding. And letting it grow in to something beyond what we original thought is good. Of course it has to be within reason of not breaking the game...

What I am trying to say is even at the stage of "along with the 3 players who made the references -- and we'll talk about what the quest board looks like totally in advance." if it gets a bit stuck. Just relax take a step back and just shelve it.

Go explore with your character somewhere else and come back later.

Like a writers block. @Bochi's Fuyu town we can let it grow a bit, we know its there is not going any were, make more varying reports. Just come back later.

And also I feel for level capped players, if there are no new regions, its not really your responsibility to open new things, sure, no one else can, but just wait for the rest of the population to catch up. Make quests you want to do, just play around make filler episodes. Make Npc and kill them off. etc etc.

Just let opening region be more organic.

this is just my opinion, if you find what I say disagreeable, that is fine,

Then again, I might be saying things everybody already knows.... But like I said I am new to the AG system.

Did I rant too much?

Wafu! >.<

I hope it gets fixed soon... T.T

Btw, if you think it's going to take too long (hopefully not! >.<), you can always connect a keyboard to your phone, it makes things easier~

How are you all handling the Quarantine / Self Isolation btw? (If you are quarantined)
Honestly, almost like a paradise if my food storage keeps up. Not saying it's a good thing, its just that my lifestyle was always an introverted one since I only interact with people if I need to. Sooner of later food will run out and I would have to go grocery shopping again but that's like in 2 months.

The place I'm living at was always so noisy before the virus outbreak, now it's really quiet that I can enjoy silent peace.
