One thing i know i don't like zombie apocalypse at all, better you die in my opinion.Imagine trying to survive in a world where every organism can mutate to be a zombie yeah tough luck.

You need a defensible or hidden (or both) home location, the ability to grow food and medicine, a clean water source and the mentality to be okay with bashing the heads of things that were once your neighbours.

I'd die pretty quickly. I mean, I know how to hunt and plant potatoes (yay rural upbringing) but anything else is outside my knowledge scope. Honestly, the zombies wouldn't get me as I'd probably die pooping my insides out from improperly cooked food and dirty water.

With how advanced technology is nowadays and how smart some people can actually be, I'd imagine they invent some sort of pesticide for zombies before they can spread to the whole world. Depending on where you're living, you might not need to do anything at all. As long as it doesn't involve magical mutations or actual witchcraft, zombies are just humans but mostly dumber.

Dawn of the Living Dead, Zack Edition? You are fucking dead.

Resident evil (the games)?Youu can survive by just hiding for enough times so that the zombies die out.
The walking dead? Everyone survives aside from the first unlucky bastards.

The point is, if the zombies turn fast and are runners, is fucking over, unless it is 28 days later and they just starve out after some time and even there, if you can survive the first hours.
There is no point in knowing any survival skills if you can't outlast the first hours or days. That is why it is super realistic that at the end of zombie movies, everyone dies.

Well if it is a biological strain of zombies, then fighting fire with fire might be an option. I'd head down to the mortuary and start cultivating flesh eating bacteria.

Insects might be a viable option as well. A large colony of ants can turn a corpse into a skeleton in weeks.

Whether this point or mine is more valid depends on how the apocalypse starts. If everyone turns into a zombie all at once after the virus has spread, then sure, but if the cases appeared shortly after the virus infected people at the initial spot, I don't think humans would not try more radical solutions to stop them from spreading when they saw just how deadly a zombie virus could be. You'd be surprised by the stuff people do when faced with death.

Also, I'm not a doctor or a scientist, and this point is unrelated, but I think finding ways to eliminate animated corpses is way easier than making effective vaccines to eliminate a type of virus on living people and not fatally affecting them in the process.
