That's easy. Get the oni to attack Scribel.
*offers two cookies to the onis to make them give up*
Overworked is something I am immensely worried about in this game format. And I had tried to look in to ways of doing a collaborative mapping system even very MS paint level things, to no avail or nothing good.

In terms of the game itself for this AG, from my point of view quest, especially in the later levels when it will be harder to level up will inevitably become a chore. But the context of the chore will become is what is important. The way I hope to play is the thru prescribed quest I will know the world, meet NPCs and thru that, become a platform for an epic quest or story. When that is done, I rise and repeat.

Guild quest should IMO, be a Setting Machine, and Custom quest, that is where that action is at.

That is what I had hopped and experimented on @GDLiZy, and I think it worked out ok... kinda? ish?

I think it is good that @Epsil have been trying to get The magic lab off the ground, its as shame that not a lot people are interested, but then again the is a little be of problem with the powerlevel IMO.

Also, I think a good thing would be that players making quest that explore what there players want specifically will be a good thing in this game.

Although, this would mean we have to read thoroughly the character stories of other players and actually set up a scenario for them... We have to be both player and NPC for other people. That is my ideal at least.
Well, Ohko's system is a lot better at self-sustaining itself than mine was, so I have more hopes of them not getting overworked by AG~

That said, while the game has plenty of self-sustaining features, I doubt the game can survive without Ohko tbh... I mean, I'd hate to see Ohko go, and I'd hate if the game died because of that too, but uhn...

In all my RP experiences, no matter how self-sustaining a roleplay is designed to be, it immediately crumbles apart the moment the staff team disappears... I'd hope to not see Ohko gone to test that theory, though I'd love to see myself proven wrong in case the game did survive in case Ohko left...

So uhn... Well, while we should definitely do our part to not overwork our GM, I'm honestly very skeptical we can somehow keep the game going in case Ohko decides/needs to leave... Unless someone actually takes up the role of GM that is, though only Feathers was willing to do so so far IIRC.

As for the quests becoming a chore... Mmmmmm, well, this is complicated for me to answer, because like... While in AG v1 they totally became a chore due to their immense lack of variety, I have a hard time thinking I'd ever see them as a chore in this version of the game.

Nene is a very limited character, so maybe she'd run out of quests to do after a while, but worst came to worst, I'd just make a new character and play through the early game again! XD

So uhn... I dunno, I have a hard time ever imagining seeing them as a chore, we have lots of interesting stuff to play with right now! \(^^)/

Not if the oni attack once, pop back to bother the Winter City, and occasionally come over for attacks. Oni are unpredictable creatures, after all. It wouldn't be a far cry for them to attack Scribel 'just because'.

So it would then fall upon Fuyu pinning down the oni horde to prevent them from attacking elsewhere, but Fuyu's defensive policy doesn't encourage that.
You're saying that Scribel needs to goad Fuyu to attack the Oni to preoccupy the demon's short attention spans? :blob_happy: :blob_happy: :blob_happy:
For some reason I had gotten the impression that Fuyu was mostly defensive and not interested in attacking?

Would they really be open to switching to an offensive strategy?

:sweating_profusely: I'm just trying to imagine how much Scribel would need to pay in order to convince Fuyu to attack the Oni Mountain. It's probably an expensive uphill negotiation, right? And my general impression of Scribel is that the city is pretty stingy on money and other things unless there's a clear long-term benefit/profit.

I think it's just a tough situation because if the oni are attacking both places, it's normally natural for each place to prioritize defending their own borders first. It's a bit weird to send people all the way around to help the other location unless there is a really really good reason for it.

...So what's the really good reason? :blob_happy: :blob_happy: :blob_happy:

To Orgalla Order (Encrypted in code)
How is it possible? How did you get here? Anyways please tell me your situation as soon as possible, I'm at Gelderholm right now helping the people in some kind of war against an invading monster force.
To Letianna Orgalla
A Mysterious man opened a gate to this world Milady, we are here to help and protect you since the lord had predicted that you won't go back even if it were possible (Though it'd be too hard to get back) We're building a base of power right now North of that Holy roman empire ripoff and We've founded a order, With the support of the local kingdom we've been helping to train their men in return they gave us some land on the border to settle on along with some laborers to build some defenses.

We can't send any forces right now since tensions are high at the border, we don't know if one day the holy human empire will declare this border kingdom heretical.Though it seems they are busy invading some place called the half-wing federation? anyway since we can't send any locals one of my brother in arms will come to you and discuss some plans to explain a new encryption method.

It should take anywhere between half a month, to two months so please be patient Milady.

This is a start, although apparently the swamp lizards have been kidnapping and eating humans for at least a month IRL and nobody seemed to care for a very long time :blob_happy: :blob_happy: :blob_happy:

If I was an evil dictator, I would say -- who cares about one or two kidnapped adventurers?

Only the good guys insist on no man left behind :blob_hmph:

Let's put it this way.

Oni attack City A because City A is nearer. City A calls for aid from City B. City B doesn't help, so City A mounts a defence-oriented strategy. Oni gets bored of attacking a turtle in it's shell.

Oni looks over to City B, which is slightly further and new, so they attack that one. Then they leave after rampaging through the city and go back to attacking the turtle A.

City B attempts to mount a defence against Oni. Oni run fast and pack lots of brute strength, so walls don't hinder them much. Both cities do their best to defend, but the oni, free from the dangers of being counterattacked, amass and chip away at both, eventually getting strong enough to overwhelm both independently.

The best way to get AG to make a branch in Fuyu is to get rid of Slime Horde, and add more benefits, or more constraints, or more pressure.

Luna is going to come back soon, and she could play the role of Merchant Guild to spice things up, if need be.

For now, Solet is going to suffer for a while.

What if the Slime Hoard was caused by the Oni chasing them out from Fuyu?
Until the Oni gets resolved, Scribel will be flooded with slimes, A pest that effects all businesses!
