I usually write chapter between 20k—10k words and split it in parts.

How can a one shot be?
If it is 50k words then can i split it into 10 parts?
How can should a one shot be?
If my one shot genre is romance then can i make it tragic and make the ending unfinished.
Or
Make the protagonist die by the hand of his lover?
Or
Can i make the protagonist kill his lover when he complets his revnge?
Or
Make—Okay I'll stop.

It is a sub-revenge novel btw.

(I won't be able to reply until who knows, for some reason....)

The most common classification, iirc, is up 17,5k words for a short story, then up to 40k for a novelle, and anything longer is a novel. Oneshots don't really have any limits for length, I believe they came about for magazines, where a one-shot was published as a whole in a single magazine, as opposed to regular serialized stories divided into chapters, one per magazine release.

Going by that logic, the soft limit for oneshots would be a few thousand words, but there's no hard cap. It's got to all be in one part to classify as a oneshot though.

So can i make it 1 million words and split into 100 parts?
