The kid (3 years old) is showing lots of intrinsic motivation to learn, and I'm very happy to see that. He gets unlimited screen time, but I'm highly selective about the content that goes on his tablet, and it's all educational stuff. He doesn't spend all day on the tablet. He chooses when he's done and puts it down and runs around and helps me clean the toilet or takes a bath or something. He does a lot of math with his marbles and other toys. Yesterday, the kid pulled the magnetic letters out of the cabinet and wanted to spell Dada's name. After the first two letters, he decided he wanted to spell my name, and then he decided he just wanted the letters to have a "crash bash" and put up as many as he could in a big jumble. I didn't force him to make any proper words, just let him enjoy the letters.

He gets unlimited screen time,
I pretty much agree with all of that except for this one which has the potential of hindering a kid social development if not managed properly. Some limits are necessary for screen time.

The limit is on the content rather than the time. The kid puts it down by himself as soon as something more interesting enters the picture, unless he's ill.
