So, I started posting my 1st series in here. And by that I mean porting it over from RR with a few chapters at a time. Thing is, when I put up the first chapter, within about a few hours I had received a 5 star rating.

I’m just confused about this, and a don’t think it was warranted at all.

People complaining about getting a 5 star rating... that's on a whole new level of silliness!

Individual ratings are meaningless. Reviews matter because they have more meat, but you shouldn't pay attention to each and every rating you receive, only to their distribution once you have more.

I know there have been some people that would give five star ratings to every single story that shows up among new releases. Maybe there still are, I haven't paid attention.

On another note, the rating distribution may depend on the site, but most places are skewed towards the highest rating, and many people are loose in which stories they give ratings. Scribble Hub is a bit worse or better in this regard than some other sites, depending who you ask; most people agree though that readers on RR are much harsher.

People here are 3 out of 5 times don't have a stick up their ass. Probably that's why. :blobsip:
Okay let me do a quick math:

We have a total of 123,170 users currently, which means 2 out of 5 users would have a stick which means:

123,170 × 2 = 246,340 >>> 246,340 ÷ 5 = 49,268

So there are 49+ thousands of sticks and if we assume the Length (20 cm) and the diameter (2 cm) of each stick in relation with a normal person's we can calculate based on the data:

Data:

  • Total number of sticks:49,268
  • Length of each stick:20cm
  • Diameter of each stick:2cm
  • Density of wood (pine, average):0.5g/cm^3 (This can vary, but we’ll use a common value)
  • Average volume of usable wood per tree:0.5m^3
  • Average tree density:100trees/hectare

The result of the calculations would be:

  • Total Mass of Wood: Approximately 1,547.8 kg
  • Number of Trees Needed: About 6 trees
So we would need to cut down about 6 trees to supply enough stick to the people who want to stuff themselv—

Why the heck am I even doing this?! :sweating_profusely:
