I felt that day would come too, tbh, though I must say he should have more confidence in his work. I know y'all don't see it, but he's definitely cooking despite him saying "not expecting much" in his own comment section.

IME there are three types of writers - those with "Imposter Syndrome" who are sure their work, no matter how good (or bad) is utter rubbish but they just feel the need to put it out there and hope for the best, and those who believe they are "God's Gift to the Written Word (so bow before them, and acknowledge their greatness, already!)," and mediocre pluggers who know that is exactly what they are and embrace it.
About 20% of the Imposters are actually really good but refuse to believe it, and about 10% of the GGtWWs are almost as good as they believe. The rest of both groups are, generally, really "mediocre pluggers" with maybe 10% of both being just flat out awful.
