Eh, I'll still try to stay positive. There's no point in moping about not getting enough traction as you used to forever.
Look, if you think your work is having diminishing reader count, take a look at mine.
It is normal, to be alarmed and for your views-per-chapter to drop as you progress in your chapters. But you also have to understand the trend nowadays. A lot of new readers have short attention spans, and is intimidated by what they call 'walls of texts.' There's also the concept of "I leave this story for a while until it builds enough chapters for me to binge read". It can be that, or it can also be something else.
Any case, I persevered (and finished my work) because I changed my goals. Don't be fazed by the response of readers to your writing, and keep improving until you can be confident of what you write.
Addendum: also, I kind of agree with Xcalibur's point. That's why I don't ask for swaps because even when an author claims to be 'unbiased,' there's this tendency to give rosy feedback to works where its author gave favorable review to the former. I do promote before, but stopped short of begging for feedback and swaps. I won't improve with those.
If you really want to improve on your writing, set goals and direction for yourself. Get a trusted beta reader or two. Have them read it, and base their feedback on the goals and direction you set. Reason is, not all authors are the same. All of us have our own bias on each and every aspect/element of a story, that's why you won't get anywhere listening to a 'rando's' advice.
