I feel like I am getting targeted??

I don't know if I am being paranoid or not but I feel like I am getting targeted on Royalroad. Just when I uploaded my chapter 2 weeks ago and my I got some followers and my rank really dropped from 12000 to 10000 but then someone game me a 0.5 star rating. Now yesterday I uploaded my chapter and I got my my 100th unique follower and once again although it was not much my rank dropped. But then someone gave me a 1 star rating. And the rank increased in 13000s and my novel is on 3.92 star. I am not saying to not rate it but atleast explain why are you giving such low ratings. Tell me your opinion on it.

RR is all about stars and reviews that give you your ranking. That's why you'll get authors bugging you to give their books a review and they give you one to prop up your rankings.

I remember I uploaded my short story on royal road. I think it’s still sitting at 2 views, one from me, and the other from me on my phone.

I don’t know why anyone would try and post on a site with such dogshit discoverability, you’ll get more readers printing out your chapters, tearing the paper to pieces and the throwing the confetti into the air on a windy day

if they give a low rating and no explanation, all you can assume is that your story isn't to their liking. Royal road tends to expect professional quality novels that fit a content checklist perfectly for free. Here, people seem to realize and acknowledge where they are - a free site filled with free-to-read stories. You can't expect professional quality (even if some of us strive for getting it as close as possible). but in the end, here, we do it because we WANT to. there, people do it because they feel they NEED to.

It's the same difference as comparing tolkien to King. there's bound to be some overlap in fans that will love both. but then, there's also a ton of people that vehemently hate one or the other while worshipping the other.

that's how it is in royal road you have to learn not to care about your novel rating, they love giving 0.5 stars (why is this rating number even a thing???) to literally anything that doesnt pander to their personal preferences (litRPG system apocalypse isekai with profesional book grammar)

- mention of nudity, 0.5

- less consentual, (probably rap3 report)

Yep. I only drink 2 things in life. Mello Yello and Water. That's it. If I eat out somewhere, and they don't have Mello Yello, it's water for me. Needless to say, since most restaurants only carry Pepsi products in my area, I drink a lot of water outside of my home as well as inside. I used to be big into Sweet Iced Tea but it started turning my teeth yellow no matter how much I brushed them, so I had to stop drinking it. I smoked Pall Mall Menthol 100's for 13 years before quitting and Sweet Iced Tea was more damaging to my teeth than cigarettes. Luckily, I got them back to pearly whites....but man black teas are awful for teeth.
