I dream of writing two to three chapters a day, yet somehow, I find myself only finishing one chapter after a long week of wrestling with my thoughts. Is this the infamous newbie syndrome or am I uniquely cursed with the slow-update disease? It feels like I’m trapped in a time loop of writerly frustration!
I, too, suffer from slow-to-update disease. Some writers just writer slower than others and that's ok. But I understand the frustration.

Long ago, before the dawn of time, I wrote multiple chapters a day, for something like two weeks. That... didn't last.

These days, I'm happy to finish one chapter a week (though admittedly my recent chapters tend to be longer than the average for this site.) Anything more than that is just a bonus. I could probably force myself to write more, but I'd rather not tempt fate and dislodge the looming boulder of burnout.

Probably a good thing I've built up such a large backlog, since it means I'm unlikely to have to break my upload schedule for quite some time to come.

It really depends on your imagination and how far you see the book going with the right enthusiasm and mind set you can imagine 10 different scenarios for a single chapter it all depends
If it makes you feel any better, you are still writing at a faster pace than world renowned author George R R Martin.

mf i write like a word. A MONTH.
Are you kidding? For me, 2-3 chapters a month is good. I'm fighting another syndrome, and it's called burnout.
for its called laziness and procrastination. I'm unmedicated.
