Oh, and just in case, I was not offended. I was curious as to why Corty mentioned Negima, because I could see reasons for calling other manga trash. I couldn't remember what it was with Negima, so I asked.
Also it is "trash" for me.

Most actual trash shows don't even make it to my table for me to consume. So I can only mention those that I watched and read.

Well, kinda messy and trash are different things. I'm not a huge fan, but I don't think it is worse than a lot of modern Harems. Certainly better than Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle, MobuSeka, How Not To Summon a Demon Lord, 2.5D seduction, Quintuplets, and so on.
Negima is meh in my opinion, messy, but I won't call it trash. I prefer other Ken Akamatsu works like AI Love You and Love Hina than Negima.

A story becomes trash to me only when it reaches the depravity of Redo of a Healer.

If any of you are offended, chill, Daddy-o.
  • Naruto after Itcahi's death.
  • Bleach after Hueco Mundo arc.
  • Dragon Ball Z after Cell's arc.
  • My Hero Academia
  • Seven Deadly Sins
  • Tokyo Ghoul
  • That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
  • Certain Magical Girl Index
  • Death Note after L's death.
  • Blue Exorcist
  • Magi
  • Neon Genesis Evangelion
  • Mushokou Tensei
  • Haruhi Suzumiya
  • Negima!
  • Monogatari series.
  • Sword Art Online after the first arc
  • Overlord
  • Goblin Slayer after the first season.
  • Shield Hero
There are a ton more, and I deliberately picked titles I know people like. I just don't get it, and these are simply those I suffered through to see why they are loved. Some I loved, too, until a certain point. After that, they are what I consider trash-level disappointment compared to what I felt while watching their first half. They probably stung harder because of how much I like said show until a certain point.

There is also a list of shows/stories that are hyped and loved that I never watched because what I saw of them never really made me think: "Huh, I want to watch it."
In that time I got reincarnated as slime, I liked the part where he becomes demon lord but that's all

I remember really enjoying the Hammer session manga but then the sequel, hammer session: high school, came out and it was awful.

Black Rock shooter because the manga had a horrible adaption not once but thrice.

Kisei Kanojo Sana - Parasistence Sana still haunts me to this day.

Seraph of the end manga was really good for a long while but then the author started getting writers block and the plot was becoming more and more convoluted. Still a good manga in my opinion but the later part feels like the bounts arc from bleach.

Dance in the vampire bund bund because if you know, you know.

Urumi Koi, Koi, urumi, koi but not because it's a bad manga. It is one of my favorites of all time. I don't like it because it doesn't have an official English translation.

Most others I don't remember because they had too little of an impact on me to actually be remembered.

I heard your opinion on these particular titles more than once to not get triggered by it. :blob_sweat:

I don't think this is the only criteria. But if I were to list all of the trash manga, manhua, and manhwa, the list will be stupidly big. Just like Dragon_SAMA said, almost every Chinese manhua is trash. Same for Korean manhwa.

A trash list expands depending on how the person sees and defines 'trash' work. As for me, I'm a simple man; if I think the work is 'trash' for my standards, then it is trash for le moi.

Also, here are some trash that I enjoy and am not ashamed of admitting it:
  • Arifureta
  • Claymore
  • Creature Girls
  • Eminence in the Shadow
  • Parallel Paradise
  • To Save the World, Can You Wake Up The Morning After With a Demi-human?
There are a ton more, but this is what I know many consider trash, but I somehow still enjoy it.

Well you only said manga and not anime sooo....

Note that I wouldn't go as far as call these trash, but they got really bad for me later on.

>Bungou Stray Dogs
>Fairy Tail
>Hajimete no Gal
>Love and Lies
>Nanatsu no Taizai
>One Piece
>Sakamoto Days
>Savannah Game
>Watashi ni xx Shinasai
>Your Lie in April

Also manga adaptations of Shield Hero, Slime, and Overlord.

I'll update this list if I remember more hehe~

For me, if the story is objectively real bad it is trash. Of course I have my subjective understanding of objectivity, but it is what it is.

how tf does one fail a manga adaption THREE TIMES?!?!!?

Honestly, while reading I decided "hey why not see the latest chapter with no context" and had no clue what was happening. Honestly, best way to enjoy Seraph of the end is just to watch the anime since I think that it probably ends around the time its the best (haven't read the manga far enough past the anime to know for sure though)
  • Seven Deadly Sins
Seven Deadly Sins, otherwise known as Seven Deadly frames, somehow dethroned by Blue Locks Power Point Presentation of a season two
  • Creature Girls
I read a certain other manga with Creature girls recently, and I don't remember the exact name so I cant be sure if I know this one...
