Me, as a beginner author and also a non-native English speaker, uses various tools to help me in case I make a grammar error while drafting a chapter. Most of the time, I use ProWritingAid, which comes with a free tier plan that is sufficient for me to use.

What I want to ask is, for those like me, do any of you use a grammar helping tools while writing a story ?

Yes. Grammarly premium is what I use. I like it because it has an adon that can be used in MS word.

Realistically, just run it through ChatGPT, and ask it to proof read your text. Less than 1500 Words work best.

I use grammarly free, self-edit, and finally, any major changes (like switching the tense), I run it through ChatGPT with instruction, then double and triple check to ensure it's still what I wanted.

Shit, maybe I will try to convert to use Sapling. Prowritingaid keeps talking about how my passive sentences should always be changed to active

I use Grammarly free.

I don't use premium A) I am tight on money and B) given how often Grammarly is wrong on what it does suggest (No, I do not mean 'delivers' instead of 'delvers') I am not inclined to pay for more of it.
