I'm not much of a critic when it comes to giving out reviews for stories. Most of the time I just read what I like, I don't really like romance but I don't mind it as a sub-plot.

With this mindset I feared it would stump my growth as a writer, so I wanted to challenge myself. Good news is I finally finished a romance story. It's GL with Greek Mythology lore, of course it's contemporary and I used the 12 Labors Of Hercules as a blueprint.

It may be Lgbtqia, but it has no smut. Also, I try to make my own Bookcovers most of the time. Not sure if I'm gonna post it on here, I might just focus on my dragon story

I can help with bookcovers. You can see my work in my sig below VVV

That said, You grow from critiques and constructive criticism. If you wrote it to challenge yourself to growth, I'd recommend posting it. But that's just my opinion. Ultimately, it's up to you :)

If you need help with a book cover, I would help. If you don't need something crazy elaborate.

I really appreciate the gesture, but I'm okay. Thanks ❤️ Also, I bet your art is great too!

Thanks for the encouragement & I bet your covers are great! I'm not sure how many people like Greek Mythology, there's been so many retellings of things and sometimes it can be a little disappointing.

Greek and Norse both get a bit too much attention in fiction IMO. I did see one a few years back that used the Roman gods (who are 99% identical to the Greek ones except in names), and there is the awesome Bridge of Birds series (flirts with the Celestial Bureaucracy of Ancient China), but for the most part the only mythologies that make it to print are Greek or Norse derivations it seems.

After reading Rick Riordan's "Percy Jackson" series I had an idea to do something similar with Aztec gods but never got past the opening scenes; also, after seeing The Almighty Johnsons (brilliant Australian TV series with the Norse Gods kind of in New Zealand) I had an idea to do a "fan fic" with other gods (had a Chinese and, again, Aztec one leading the "charge," with a Polynesian god being their "bridge" to the family in question - and toyed with the bad guys being led by Set of the Egyptian pantheon) forcing the Johnsons to come back because they were still needed.

That said, I'm not personally that much into GL stories so will probably give this a pass myself BUT if you have to base one on a real-world mythology, that is probably the best one to go with.

No worries!

And that fan fic seems real interesting, I'm sure people would read it if you ever wrote it ☮️
