Nine-talon Rooster?

So I was researching mythological creatures that had 9 heads. I asked my friend group if they knew more than wikipedia. A few pointed me to the 9-headed titan in Korean myth, the 9-headed bird in Chinese tale and that 9-headed dragon in Japan and that's it unless we count the Hindu 9-head Naga. I still needed more and one of them said if it's not about heads then some of the mythical creatures in Vietnam has that 9-something feature. They told me about the 9-talon rooster. So apparently, it is an ancient story in Vietnam but had successfully been discovered in real life. I was really skeptical because I couldn't find anything but they showed me this.

I sorta grew up on a farm and worked with plenty of roosters, and this is super believable. You'd never imagine the weird things that can happen, like cows with two heads or pigs without certain organs. Genetic mutations are not super uncommon, so I can easily imagine this being real.

Yeah but like a whole species of 9-talon chicken and not just a random mutation is what they claimed.

Oh no, definitely not. The picture above is absolutely a genetic mutation.

Roosters especially have some really 'high-class' breeds, so something like that would not go under the radar. I mean there's like huge rooster beauty pageants, and a 9-talon breed would be all over the place if it existed.

"Sơn Tinh Thủy Tinh" or "Mountain God and Water God" (Don't take the translation to heart, the word "Tinh" has lost its meaning thru time) mentioned "elephant with 9 tusks, chicken with 9 spurs, horse with 9 red hairs." and I suppose spurs = talon

An irl case? Well, genetic defects happen ALL the time in nature, League players, headless chicken, down syndrome. I wouldn't be surprised if a 9-talon chicken exist, but a whole species is nuh uh, the most exotic thing we got is full-black chicken
