Yeah I noticed it, Jjk right now is great example of it. Like give ok ending it's not hard. You need just understand, why people love your story. Gege didn't know it. So he making right now literally unreadable piece of shit
Most of the time it's because there is a premise that has been set (most of the best stories have this). JJK has an interesting premise about learning and fighting curses, then main character gets power, but the problem is that the world keeps changing and overturning a lot of things that previously looked one way.

You look at Naruto, the first arc with the land of waves, fights are strategic, full of trickery and tactics... then Shippuden came and it's all about giant monster battles.

I'd say only One Piece has been consistent with its world building out of all the long running series.

Which makes me almost wonder why you are in a forum full of amateur authors instead of perhaps reading countless literary classics out there—both English in origin and not.
Because sometimes I just want to be happy. And read some gl shit without thinking about, why I reading it.

Why, you have already answered the question. Your 12-year-old self is surely not going to be thrilled reading Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky; he would watch something more digestible. Which may or may not, in turn, lack the sophistication an adult expects, but for a child, fun is all that matters. This is not to invalidate your argument or justification regarding poor storytelling, but in my experience, fewer stories tend to be totally exceptional in that regard. Sometimes, it is just about turning off your brain to enjoy something stupid.

To be fair, one of Naruto's foremost theme at the start was supposed to be "The new generation will surpass the previous one". That was why Hiruzen was the so-called "Strongest Hokage", it was initially built to be like that. Then the studio realized that the series was a Golden Goose, so that's how we got Chakra Kaijus and Aliens.

TL;DR: Capitalism baby.

Anyway, if we put it that way, it would look like that Oda was confident that people would love One-piece when he started. Hahaha

Oda still has an ending in mind, he said before somewhere the series wasn’t supposed to go more than 70-100 chapters, but when it exploded in popularity I guess he started world building towards that end.

Here's my Hot takes for Naruto:
Sasuke should have died, no questions asked in every fight.
Sakura should've got with Rock Lee
Madara only beat the 5 Kage because he was Edo Tensei
Kaguya could have been persuaded to join, and that's not because I find her the most beautiful character in the anime based on her art. Not that way you damn weeb.
Naruto should have been promoted multiple times
Naruto definitely fucked a shadow clone, I'm sorry but you can't give an adolescent boy those powers and he not abuse it.

Correct!

Nobody who thinks that they are right wants their viewpoint to be seen as a "hot take."
