Light from death note actually dump, and bad manipulator. He made really bad through all anime. His worst emotional stupid decision allowed L to know where he live. And mostly he was carried through luck and plot armor. I tired of people who calls him best manipulator and smartest anime character. No his not so good. People to much dickride him.

Most popular anime right now is thrash. Demon slayer, jjk, one piece, attack on Titan.(finally it's ended, I was fun. And really enjoyed characters and story. But the whole final arc it's thrash. Its so awful. I literally waste many years on nothing). And I don't know it's hot take or not, but I like shojo and fantasy (actual fantasy, not isekai) more then shonen.

I think the issue here is you're expecting literature from a media that's made primarily for young teenagers, while you aren't a teen anymore.
But it's bullshit. Sorry but I don't think it's excuse work. Like I like hunter x hunter. It's also for teenagers. But it's have really good themes and over all writing. Why teenagers forced to eat shit. And when someone point it out, they all say "don't ruin fun" "Nobody care" "It's not for you" And other staff. If any media is made for younger demographic it's not mean it's should be ass. Adventure time, infinite train, new fairy odd parents, Ben 10. They all mostly for for kids. But I personally know adults who watching that and enjoying them.

Like sorry but I don't agreed with you

Not a hot take at all. Light is a massive dumbass and literally anyone else would've gotten away with the death note except him. He literally got doxxed near instantly for being a dumbass and L immediately knew he was Kira and would've been instantly caught if he didn't have a bullshit magic notebook of death.
Shonen is debatable because their stories are pretty mid to okayish and carried by the mangaka's/anime's art and fight scenes. Most of them aren't planned that well because it's weekly and they just make shit up as they go. At least demon slayer had an okayish ending unlike AOT and MHA.
My hot take:
If english dubs didn't exist we wouldn't have had an influx of tourists and dumbass zoomers ruining anime and manga that barged in during covid.
One Piss I mean One Piece is overrated trash. And finally, writers in scrubblehub should get a spellchecker extension like grammarly or something especially if you're ESL because it's annoying to rewire my brain while reading every time you make a typo. You don't even need to follow the writing suggestions because they're only used for formal reports/papers but at least utilize it to check correct spelling and grammar.

Damn, another hot take thread, but I am all out of funny replies. Saying mango tastes like carrots or pineapple belongs on pizza won't get me far enough. What to do? :blob_hmm:
Go one step further. Carrots belong on pizza, and mango tastes like pineapple

Two terrible takes in one paragraph is hard to accomplish, congrats. Expecting perfect grammar in conversational English is absurd.

I don't even know what you're disagreeing on. When I say Shonen is made for young teens, adults also liking said Shonen doesn't make my point moot. I like watching Hilda, and its made for 8 year olds. The fact of the matter is that Shonen can afford to pull off some stuff that an adult who reads, say, 'serious fiction' would find implausible, absurd, or shallow, because it's not made for them. Light Yagami is dumb, yes. He makes leaps of logic that makes no sense and somehow gets away with it, but you aren't meant to see that. The 14 yo you wouldn't have caught onto that. So it's a personal failing. Also, I've seen some smooth brain anitubers praise HxH as being 'philosophical' and 'deep', but it's not. You might've enjoyed HxH but it's probably because you watched it when you were young and at your impressionable age. Rezero was one of my fav anime of all time, but I can't rewatch it for the life of me. I have yet to pick up s2. If I had started rezero today, I would've rated it 1/10 after a few episodes and moved on.

If you are learning English (which I assume you are, considering how badly shaped your comments are) as of now, please refrain from doing debates and arguments.

One, because the perceiver of your speech will- Euhm, are likely to misunderstand whatever unrefined blabbers come out of your mouth.

Two, because you would and probably are misunderstanding the others' comments because we never know your view towards our arguments.

I wish someone could speak in Haku's mother language so then we understand each others perfectly.

Oh chuuni one, make a true hot take. ?
Any story can be both mid and peak, it really depend on who the reader is. Hot takes for me are when people want attention, like I do sometimes when I'm sick, so it's really pointless. This is a hot take on hot takes.

Hey I said that media literacy applying to all media (except maybe cartoons for literally baby's.) The fact that it's made for teenagers, doesn't matter for me. If it's bad, it's bad. I mostly hate people who try to silence someone if he make criticism about shonens. Because always gonna be someone saying "it's not for you". And sorry if I, somehow really insulted you

Children nowadays have a lower attention span. That means that newer characters need not depth but relatability, and detailed storylines are replaced with simple tropes like Good vs. Evil or 'The Strongest Prevails.'

I remembered talking to my friend about this. She grew up watching anime like Naruto: Shippuden and FMA:B, which had an exciting narrative and characters who didn't need to be quirky or eccentric but had backstories or meaning behind their actions. She was disgruntled because, nowadays, prominent anime has characters whose personality overshadowed their intentions—boosting their relatability for sales on merch (and you don't have to like the MC, but if you get attached to a specific character, you'll continue watching, retaining viewership).

Now, you have characters whose roles pivot around their sexuality, philosophy, gender, mental disorder, etc. And that's what this new generation needs as they continue to isolate themselves and form inclusive groups through the internet.

It's sad, but what are you going to do?

Yeah I studying English. I can read duh, but everything else little hard for me. Especially the fact that, where I was born, we didn't teach English well. And mostly school ignored it. Making for us different priorities. But yeah probably I should take time for now

If you've noticed, most long running series have trash endings. A lot of it is because the author doesn't think about the ending but instead comes up with a great idea, but then has trouble developing that idea to a conclusion.

Hence why a lot of anime/manga have terrible and stupid endings.

Which makes me almost wonder why you are in a forum full of amateur authors instead of perhaps reading countless literary classics out there—both English in origin and not.
