Fics where the protagonist reincarnates/is reborn and is gender bent but is either honest so the new family knows, or they find out.
I have read the Wednesday Addam's Second Personality and Im in Monster Girl World.

There is this one, though I don't remember if the protag is honest about their previous life. The MC is very straightforward, just wants to become the very best in swordplay... if the subject came up I don't remember.

There are a couple ecchi ones that might fit that, but family isn't a big part of the story.

Well, I did exactly this with my Key to the Void series. That said, it is currently on long-term hiatus pending some heavy editing and revision. Essentially, I want to go somewhere with the 4th book that I don't have the proper foundations established for, and adding an explanatory arc between my current point and book 4 is not going to cut it to fill in the gaps, and my only option is to edit what's already there.

So, yeah. I'm not sure if you can call this shilling my work or anti-shilling. Take it as you will, I'm just saying I did the thing that this thread is asking about.

I think I read the beginning of your story but wasn't the prota only honest with their sister? I never got to the part where the rest of the family discover their reincarnated status

She reveals more and more to more of the people as things progress. By the end of book 2, everyone knows the whole story about the reincarnation. Turns out, they actually don't care or find it all that strange because there's actually precedent in the world with fairies being born with memories of their previous life. The being from another world thing IS seen as unusual though, and that's the part they have decided to be a little more quiet about. But, it starts becoming a completely open thing that she remembers her past life.

In book 4, I'd even planned to go deeper into this. They were going to talk about how they actually have a tradition in these circumstances of counting previous life age in the age they consider a person to be under her circumstances, so she was going to get 60 years tacked onto her age and begin to get treated appropriately.... and it turns out, among the fey, a 65 year old is still considered a little kid. Just not as much so as a 5 year old.

Honestly think the authors other story (Sword Saint Adel‘s Second Chance) is much better. Didn't really like the squire one, even its premise isn’t true, for all I read of it the mc always breaks her sword after the first attack and then just punches the enemy to death. But just like squire story the mc hides his/her reincarnation in it.

(I guess this dragon who her lost her egg to disaster is my mom now) is another option and the best bet out of what I can recommend, though I’ve only read the first volume, fairly early on in this story the mc reveals to other characters that she used to be a man. The whole first volume is about coming to terms with both identities

It just occurred to me that using the bathroom is rarely mentioned in fiction, yet it's one of the most normal and often things we do.

well, in one of my stories, a few NPCs know or sense the truth, and the MC never denies it to them (except the dying father who sometimes gets it and sometimes does not). MC also opens up with the boyfriend once the MC accepts actually having a boyfriend. Most of the time the MC is just trying to get used to this world and figure out how things work (and what things are the same as his original life vs. what is just a little different or what is very, very different). Not sure if that counts, or is too far from being honest with everyone?

(If that sounds "close enough" it's the second title in my signature; if it does not, feel free to just ignore this post)

Ok so is the story you refer to the Diamond one, is it GB? What is the premise?

Something that I heard on a podcast a while back was that Lewis Carroll had a character that was a prince who got transformed into a princess or something like that. I can't figured out which of his books it is though I've tried looking a few times.

It might be Sylvie and Bruno but not sure.

the second one, Strange Awakenings. After a night on the town, Kelly Morgan Pierce wakes up in the body of ... Kelly Morgan Pierce. Only this new Kelly is female; her life was remarkably similar to his, but also very different on a few points, some of them very significant. Only 5 (of 17 so far, at most halfway through the story) chapters are up here.
