It's cannibalism.

A polar bear eating a grizzly bear's cub is cannibalism. And yes, that was a thing once. Bears are cannibals. Bears are fuckin terrifying.

You can cross-breed Grizzly and Polar bears. It takes work and is one fucked up result, but it works. I believe the result was sterile, however. So plans on repopulating via the method were doomed to failure.

Still counts as cannibalism.

Something similar happened in ‘I Tamed The Tyrant’ or something. FML gets turned into a sword that is used to kill her own family (who were abusive anyway but it was painful and she lost her freedom). Goes back in time and turns a genius villain into someone with power to get revenge against the kingdom that ruined her.

But my point was just that betraying allies/family/comrades for self-gain is a lot worse than doing bad things to a dead enemy in cultivation stories (since everyone has killed at least once at some point to succeed in them).

Would depend on how they are consumed. If they are just absorbed then, probably not. If you cut off and eat their flesh, then yes, if they are all of the same species as you, or "sometimes" if they are occasionally of the same species but sometimes not.
