I started writing a couple weeks ago but it seems very hard to acquire even a single view, does anyone have some nuggets of wisdom that could help my problem?
Well, for one, how about you using proper punctuation and capital letters in your text?
Running the text through 'Grammarly' or similar would suffice.
At this point, if you don't care about the most basic mistakes, why would any reader try to pick up your story?

Apart from this, adding more tags can also help. It would show the potential reader what to expect in the story.
But seriously, fix the little mistakes first.

Copypasted from one of the dozen other threads like this. (You could always use the forum's Search function to find more info.)
The most reliable method is the 'Latest Updates' tab. Your story will appear there every time you upload a chapter. To take advantage, you need to upload at various times so that different people will see the story. If you upload at the same time every day, then the same users will see it and either already have it on their list, or just ignore it like they ignored it last time.

There's also 'Similar Stories' and Tags. If you properly apply the 25 tags you're allowed to use, whenever somebody searches for those tags they will see your story. Other stories that have similar tags will link yours on their page as well, meaning if your story is similar to a popular story, it will get more views. It's good to have a mix of popular tags and uncommon tags since that will help people find you. However, you have to remember that any tags you add that don't describe the story will make readers who wanted those tags angry.

Lastly is the Signature on this forum. Anyone who sees your comments will see a link you post there and have the option of following it to your story.

Outside of the inbuilt functions, you can always advertise your story directly on social media sites.

This you?
"But what about the moon? can we also use the moon?" said the child, still staring into the skies

"Well, the moon doesn't help our plants grow, the moon does shine for us, the moon is useless for us"

"But without the moon, we wouldn't enable to see these beautiful starts!" said the child while standing up and reaching toward the starry night that unfolded before his eyes

the lady chuckled.

"That isn't quite how it works!" said the white hair lady between giggles "hey! don't laugh at me!!" exclaimed the boy. They both giggled and smile, still staring into the sky
No periods and sentences don't start with capital letters.
Seems very egregious to me.

Personally, I wouldn’t pay attention to a story without proper grammar, punctuation or simple capitalisation. These days, issues with those are becoming less excusable with easy free tools such as Grammarly and chatgpt to help out.

Here are a few things that weren't mentioned already.
I think a catchy title helps. I mean, if you have a title like "I wash my dishes every day, watch me as i become a functioning adult" or something no one knows what to do with like "Giblgub" (Strange names in general) you might not get anyone to even look at your story. Also on SH, an anime cover has more chances to attract readers than a realistic cover. (The quality needs to reach a certain standard.)
If you use the forum to advertise your story, you should create a signature and give a link to the story.
If you do mass releases, wait a little between each release, as the algorithm has a weird spam protection.

And after you manage to attract people to open the page of your story, the synopsis is deciding. After that, your story has to speak for itself.
Also, views are like money, so the more views you have, the easier you get to get more, so if you have a few friends, maybe an editor, your family, or someone like that, maybe they can read the story on this site too, so that you get a few initial views and ratings. (Don't create Bot accounts!)

You can also ask other authors to advertise your story in an author note in their stories. Most do it for free if they think your story has potential.

Just took a look at your story, and the chapter names might also be something to think about. At least some consistency would help. Also, an intermission at chapter 3 is weird. You aren't really into the main plot. Also, releasing a bit more would also help. Most people don't want to read a story with only 3k words. So release more to attract more people.

Mistake: Never assume anything is fine. There is always a place for improvement, and your story will never be perfect.

If someone points out errors, always take them gracefully and reread your story to see if they make sense. Sometimes, they don't, and sometimes, they do. Gammarly doesn't fix everything, and neither do other things. Always take their suggestions as suggestions. It shows you don't care enough to improve if you don't spend hours rewriting your story, which is fine, but don't expect people to put time into something you don't put time into.
