If, persay, a certain goth elf was thinking about hosting a writing competition with real prizes at the end, what would be the community interest?

Of course it would be carefully planned and judges selected from reputable members of community, and me, in an attempt to be as unbiased and fair as possible.

Go ahead and host it. Just make sure you plan it out well. I wouldn't participate(Don't have the time to write), but I would definitely spectate.

I'd probably join. Compared to the frequent-contest-holding Webnovel, our community is much smaller, and thus there's a bigger chance people know each other.

Also, I'm in a bit of a slump, so I need motivation to write. (Praying the genre coincides with the fantasy book I'm writing)

(I doubt he'd actually implement it too, because this could most likely be a one-time thing, but it'd be fun if Tony created a small section to display the participating stories in the contest.)

It would be interesting for Tony make it semi official but barring massive interest I think it would be annoying to implement and manage on his end. Would be cool though.

I do plan to make a more formal post with my ideas and rules later today if enough people are interested.

A lot of people would be interested I think. And you can ask Tony. I bet he will make it more or less official, like pin the thread and make a speparate tag, though I'm not sure.

It depends on the rules and themes to follow, but I might be interested. I think you should do it anyway, as I believe you can find an audience. To make it successful, I think you should keep it simple.

Judges are just an idea, and while Im sure people have their own biases and opinions about people in the community.

I have no such notions.

“Oooh, nice, too bad I am not writing that genre. Maybe the next one.”

And then move on and repeat the same sentences when the next one comes.
