I don't really understand the term "finding out the other side grass being greener".

Because my side are all withered and dead from the start. Of course I know life is not "happy happy", instead it really depends on your gacha roll in reincarnation.

I would want a reroll whenever I was young, but now that I know my luck, a reroll is just teasing Life's kicks to my bollocks.

Grass huh... it's been years since I saw and touched one. I almost forgot that they're supposed to be green, thank you kind person.

When i realized when the cold winters and hot summers wasn't a normal thing across the world. Sure, grass is very green in spring but in summer everything looks wilted

Well depending on what your definition of greener is, you will always find greener grass somewhere, of course if you are reading this chances are high that you have all around greener grass.

The saying is disconnected from its original context. It only has this socioeconomic connotation(which is valid, the world sucks) because it happens to have aged in a very specific way. The original, intended message from 3000 years ago is still very important, and rephrasing the saying for the modern day would be very prudent to this discussion.

"Someone else always gets more likes." would be a pretty good analogue.

Edit: Maybe like 4000ish years ago? IDK I'm not as fresh with Greek philosophy as I used to be.
