from my understanding they’d probably think you’re more annoying than anything. These scammers probably think that your just trying to get them arrested rather than actually helping

I almost sold a car I didn't own to some scammer once. Wasted an hour of their time while watching a race on tv.

No, you're not evil.

I just got contacted by one of those WhatsApp recruitment scams and went full editor mode on them, listing everything they did wrong and could do better before offering them my services. Does that make me evil or just shrewd?
That's just dumb tbh, I can't think of a good reason to give scammers pointers, I doubt they are going to be out here taking notes if scamming via WhatsApp Recruitment is what they resort to for money. If it were me, I would have ignored them or wasted as much of their time as possible.

I know it's stupid and morally questionable, but money is money.

And I guess they're ghosting me now... Their loss, really.

If you are offering a service you have no intention of actually providing if the offer is accepted, then yes you are being a poopyhead. However, some recruiters actually look for someone who is goofing around; being able to treat lying as a game is a desirable quality in sales representatives.
