So yeah.. it's as dumb as it sounds but...
If a mecha vampire is a thing what would you think it would be?

I read a story about Dragon Mechs recently, but it got stubbed so there's no point in linking it.

As for mech vampires-
  • Does a vampire need to use a mech? Probably not, but you never know. Maybe it's like a life support system that allows it to survive (longer) without blood, or go out in the daylight.
  • Is the mech an actual vampire? Does it feed on other mech's oils and electricity?
  • Is the mech a figurative vampire? Is it a mech that's goth styled and chuuni?
  • ... Is it a normal vampire that's cybernetic? Probably not, right?
  • Maybe it's like a regular mech that's powered by the pilot's blood. That's a pretty tame option...
  • Actually, Retribution Engine has a Mech that feeds on both the pilot and the people it splatters in battle, so that's a thing.
Are there more?

Eleventy-Zero slowly powered up.

The macrophage that had been released upon the world has destroyed most of the Zircon-Thorian reactors and rebuilding the cyrstal latuses that allowed that to work was impossible, given the current state of the world. The planet had been glutted on free energy, and with no energy restraints, there were no limits on most projects. Most of the human race has switched over to immortal bodies of mechanical design. Fortunately, while the age of free energy was dead, the Everlife batteries which had a 99.7% efficency still functioned. A compromise was made, and most humans wound up powering down for long periods of time, only to rise up when their batteries had been refilled on what little energy rations they were allowed.

This has resulted in a social strata, the day-mechs were those who could afford the ultra-expensive solar collectors. These mechs could find enough power to function during the day, then they would be forced to slumber at night, but this still made them far more active then most of the population, who might rise from recharge slumber once a month, or even once a year, in some cases.

Then there were those who didn't want to.

They became the night-walkers. The Vampiric-Mechs who instead of having access to Solar collectors, instead chose the path of power vampirism. At first they were just using illegal energy taps, but as those places became fewer and harder to find, they began the unthinkable.

The direct draining of other mechs.

And so the energy vampires took to the night, seeking easy prey in an ever-increasingly desperate attempt to remain one step ahead of the law.

The Sun had slipped below the horizon.

Eleventy-Zero would soon venture out to FEED.

If humans with their limited intelligence could build a gundam mecha one day in the future,

Vampires and their extreme intelligent minds would have already build living and walking mechanical armor for battles, complete with sentient golem since the gothic victoriant era as their servant.

If we start from the point that a vampire feeds on its enemies, there's actually a lot of interesting ways to do it. First idea, the vampire mecha feeds on electricity or whatever energy is powering the other mecha. Second idea, if we go far into the future where we have nanomachines, a vampire mecha would feed on other mecha by sucking up their nanomachines and utilizing them for itself, either by sort of taking them over or converting them to its own (it could technically, create nanomachines from any raw material, but it wouldn't be much of a vampire then).

If we're not as rigid with the definition of vampire, there will be a lot more options.

Have ypu ever watch Transformer Prime?
zombee.jpg

It has been done before with robots so mecha isn't a high reach.

With the lore of the fuel tank being so badly damaged the mecha has to be modify to suck energy from other mechs.

I think the mecha vampire would be able to steal energy from other mechs. That would be the primary ability, and may be can't charge by star light.

Well, look at dracula castle at castlevania and imagine that the castle is built upon technology instead of "vampire magic".

Replace skeleton with robot fodder

Replace dog beast with animal robot

Replace flying bats with winged robot

Replace snake beast with slithering robot

Replace enchanting singer with hatsune miku singer robot

Replace phantoms/ghost with hologram robots

And else.

It's Evangelion. That the first word that comes to my mind.
VF-14 Vampire

Why not design it like mosquito lol, it's more like praying mantis. It's not befitting the name vampire, it's more like suicidal masochistic insects.

Bat mecha suit for the vampires that can't turn into bats. I don't need a mecha suit, but some are a little unfortunate. The peons of society.

There is one reason to get them even if I don't need it. The cool factor.
