It's not really about constant updates, I can tell you. My first novel didn't get on trending once, even though I had been doing that for several months.

Probably needs to be BL/GL/Gender bender/Animorphic romance. Normal/Straight romance is dead these days apparently. Always gotta have some fairy twist on it.

Pretty anime girl in my cover art, smut and GL tags included, and in the month of January I posted one chapter daily, each estimated to be between 2k and 2.5k words in length.

I have been writing in Scribblehub since October of 2023, the closest I ever reached was number 39 on trending ONCE! And I was only able to savor it for 4 minutes before it refreshed.

I couldn't tell you how to get on trending, I have had the misfortune of seeing similar stories begin and rise to trending frequently, leaving my poor Tale of Tails in the dust over 90 chapters and still no reviews, and every comment compliments the smut but say nothing about the characters and plot.

Alas, number 39 is the closest I may come to the fabled list of trending. I couldn't tell you how to get there, I've been trying since day 1. I believe one factor contributing to it is popular activity, meaning a combination of views, comments, readers and likes/favorites. But well, if you guys make it there good for you. I've accepted that likely my work is just decent but not good enough to make it on that list. Bummer but well, idk. I need a hug
