I need to clean in the summer camp warehouse this week. Not because I have to clean up, but because there's a terrible smell in there.

Jokes aside. EN is really bad. Complete miss on personalities and just sounds cringe as fuck. It's your choice tho. But no wonders you hate the MC tho

I play with EN too you know~ Never had much of a problem~ Also I don’t think they miss on personalities, at least not in Penacony. The other worlds? No idea~
(or maybe I’m just biased because I’ve watched like 8 of the VAs play through the game)

Belobog nearly made me give up too. The writing is really bad. All dialogs are basically reiterating the same thing 5 times before moving on. I dunno which MC you picked, but the female twin is actually quite nice, though she get more personality later.

I focused on main story and skipped all the sidequests just so I can be done with this part faster.

I think I made a mistake choosing the male MC. At least the female one is cute. I don’t mind a silent protagonist, but usually, when it's like this, you have the opportunity to shape them according to your own taste. The choices given are worse than the other, and I would never say such dum sentence. In addition, none influence the story. Unfortunately, games like BG3 have raised my standards too high.
At this point, they might as well have created a fully developed and voiced character. Maybe he gets better as the story progresses, but I think I will remove him from my team. So far, I don't like anything about him, starting with the weapon he uses and his abilities. I think I'll swap him out for Natasha. Or am I bound to use him? I haven't tried take him out yet.

You're missing out big time. Starail has some real heavy hitters when it comes to the JP voice actors.
Satoshi Hino being one of them. Ya know, the guy who voiced Kevin Kaslana in Honkai Impact 3rd, Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord, and Kyoujurou Rengoku from Demon Slayer.
Miyuki Swashiro is voicing Archeon, which she also did for Raiden Mei in Honkai 3rd, Raiden Shogun (EI) in Genshin Impact, Mordred from Fate, Sinon from SAO, and Amagi from Azur Lane.

JP dub is indeed very good. Lots of good and recognizable voices.

I am quite convinced that anyone from the family would write the story better. It's probably the effect of Chinese censorship. Or maybe because I'm not in the target audience.

My level 70 Natasha would like to have a word. I'll have you know she's one of the best healers on release! Nevermind the fact that there were a grand total of two...

There are 3 banners: Standard, limited character, and limited lightcone. There’s also the newbie banner, but it doesn’t matter for this explanation. Standard, character, and lightcone banners all have separate pities. However, both characters banners (Acheron and Luocha) share pity. Pity on banners never resets, even if the character does. (Jingliu/Aventurine is next. If you have pity from Acheron/Luocha, it’ll count here.)

Before we start, a few terms:
- Hard pity: The point at which something (ie a 5*) is guaranteed
- Soft pity: The point at which the chance for something starts to increase

Starting with the standard banner, hard pity is 90 and soft pity is 74 for 5*s. Base 5* chance is 0.6%, base chance for a 4* is 5.1%. 4*s have soft pity at 9 and hard pity at 10. Now I’m not 100% sure on the next part, but I’m 90% sure it’s right: If you pull 2 characters, then the next is a lightcone. If you pull a character and a lightcone, the next is a character. At 300 pulls, you get to chose a 5* character out of the 7 on the banner.

The character banner is almost exactly the same, except all 5*s are characters. However, you only have a 50% chance of getting the banner character. However, if the last 5* you got on the banner was not a banner character, then the next 5* is guaranteed to be the banner 5*. Additionally, there are 3 rate up 4*s. 50% of 4* drops will be any one of those 3.

The lightcone banner is a bit different. Hard pity is 80 and soft pity is 65 for 5*s. The base 5* chance is also 0.8%. 4* pities are the same, but the base chance is 6.6%. The same guarantee system works her, except you have a 75% chance of getting something on banner.

Bailu carry! She's good, so don't worry if you pick her. She can revive your downed character once per battle. Her invigoration regenerates health right after your party member took damage and her heal is good too. The only thing she's missing is cleanse, but there are other ways (March after upgrades for instance). Don't get discouraged if you get her. I'd say she's worth building. She helped me breeze through main story and simulated universe (1 level). I can see her helping me for a long time.

Chinese censorship has nothing to do with amateurish writing (is also blown way out of proportion). My theory is that they gave this section to B-team or interns while the main team was working on Genshin (which is their main money maker) and this are the results. Cliché, poorly written, boring. Xianzhou much better and a lot of fun characters show up. MC also get more time to shine.

Build whoever you find fun. If they fit your style then you'll more likely get the most out of them as opposed to using someone who goes against your habits.

You can try farming Golden Calyx. It gives 50 exp per 1 run that uses 10 stamina. So 1 full run of 6 rounds gives 300 exp. You can use Azure's Acheron, because she's OP as hell and you won't even need to charge her ult. She'll clean the stage with just her skill. 6 rounds would take somewhere around 1min with her.
