"And at least your memories aren't haunting you I suppose, that's a good thing among those troublesome circumstances..."

"Oh no... not that... it's just that... I'm not used to people touching me anymore."

"Most people don't like to touch demons, right? Especially ones that eat people?"

*protects hair* "I don't really remember so... I guess it doesn't really bother me? Thank you though..."


"Thank you... Miss..."

"...And you are...?"

I patted his head
"Leti, nice to meet you" a gave a slight smile before sitting down.

"Miss Letianna... I am pretty sure the death sentence of Scribel is not carried out by having your body given out to be eaten by those that might be interested in doing so.

"Don't give the wrong impression to Briele, please."

"Ah my apologies im not familiar with the justice system here, though won't nobody mind if a body of a killer was, missing?"

I patted his head
"Leti, nice to meet you" a gave a slight smile before sitting down.

*ducks from being petted"

"Are you an adventurer as well, Miss Leti? You look young~"

 

[Vanus]

"Oh no... not that... it's just that... I'm not used to people touching me anymore."

"Most people don't like to touch demons, right? Especially ones that eat people?"

AIEO's skittishness kicks off at the mention of the word daemon and she loads her crossbow superstitiously before saying a small prayer

"You never know what people are going to do with skulls." AIEO softly lobs a skull with the double headed Cassowary over to the girl. "That's a ward for daemons where I'm from."

AIEO's skittishness kicks off at the mention of the word daemon and she loads her crossbow superstitiously before saying a small prayer

"Of course, though I'm more on the household type of adventurer." This time a tiny bun appeared in my hand to lure him into a hug.

"You never know what people are going to do with skulls." AIEO softly lobs a skull with the double headed Cassowary over to the girl. "That's a ward for daemons where I'm from."

"Ah?!" I caught it but I almost fell

"And I think you might be a bit too self-conscious. If you're worried about how people will treat you due to what you are, then all you need to do is to not tell them what you are until you are ready to do so. What really matters is not what you are, but who you are.

"While I cannot guarantee people won't judge you by the what, you can certainly prove their opinion wrong by the who. And it's much easier to do that if they know the who first.

"Regardless of what you remember or not, you're still a child right now it's okay to take things easy... One step at a time, get to know the people close to you, and yourself, I'm sure you'll find a way to adapt to your current circumstances."

"Miss Letianna... Far too many things can be done with dead bodies, especially those that hold deep grudges between them.

"It would be very worrisome if one of those was to suddenly disappear... They need to have their souls purified and brought to rest, not disappear. The crimes committed in life should not stop them from receiving rest in the afterlife.

"The world of the dead is the domain of the gods, and The Goddess does not discriminate. All are equal under her eyes, and as such, all have the right to receive safe passage to her domain."

*AIEO Looks pensively back holding the worry back.

"Please stop scaring Briele, miss Aeio..."

"I would if I wasn't just as scared of it as it is of me." AIEO shrugs

Vicious entered the tavern in her new outfit. The cigarette was still lit in her mouth as she looked for a seat.

Then she stretched, barely repressing a yawn as she found a suitable chair, settled on it, kicked off her shoes and rested her legs on the table. The orders went in---a plate of duck for Sanguine, and a sandwich for herself.

"I cannot force you to believe my words, but do you really believe a child like Briele poses you a threat?

"Besides, if he wanted to pose danger to anybody in this tavern, wouldn't I or miss Letianna be his targets instead of you? He's had more than enough opportunities to attack me if he wished to do so, yet he did no such thing.

"I please you once again, miss Aieo, please calm down. Nobody here means you any harm."

"Yes, you can definitely eat what you want now, you do not need to worry about anything else... Everything will be okay now..."

"Ah that's great then! Are you hungry? Ill make something if you are." I handed a tiny bun to the boy "here's a welcoming gift."

"MIss I made my first assassination when I was 6 years old, yes I believe she could be as big of a threat as the thing that lives in my skull with me and I keep at bay through fatih alone." I pause for a bit before opening my mouth, "MIss you will have to excuse my paranoia I've seen more than my age would tell you I've seen worlds burn and traitors suddenly make a move from the slightest perceived insult." I take another breath whilst my body shudders the daemon made a move. "I am calm enough and that isn't exactly true and it likely won't be for a long long time."

"Ah that's great then! Are you hungry? Ill make something if you are." I handed a tiny bun to the boy "here's a welcoming gift."

"Oh, thank you so much! I'll treasure this! What kind of bun is it?"

*eyes flicker between green and black for a few instants before settling back on green*

"Remembering. Remembering far too many things, and those memories make me unsure about how I should act... But it's alright, I'm sure The Goddess will guide our paths now, we do not need to worry, The Goddess protects..."

 

[Bochi]

*stares at the cigarette*

Noting the stare, Vicious tilted her head to locate the source of the stare, gave Briele a brief once-over, waved lazily, and went back to doing whatever it was she was doing. Chewing one end of the cigarette.
