What are some of the things you wish you'd done differently/realized earlier in your own journey in ScribbleHub or as an Author? Examples for general web publishing specific to SH are welcome!

Like for me, it is Building up a backlog before publishing. I posted 5 chapters, then crashed cause my expectations were sky-high and of course, it didn't match with reality. Then after moping for a week, I motivated myself enough that it's about the journey.

So I would like to know if there is anything you want to share.

Now, some may say, "You won't learn in the future if you don't post there if ever you return in time". Well, the OP did ask "What are you going to do if you go back in time with what you know now..." meaning, I already got my other timeline's knowledge. So, I won't post there, and improve on my work using my prior memories.

And I won't post in SH Main too. But I'll reappear in the forum in 2020.

I would not have bothered posting in SH in the first place.

Cuz smiley as a cover with cringe in the work is just unfun. Making it less fun is I modelled the MC after myself, who is an unpleasant thing to work with IRL, even by my own standard.

To be blunt, making any characters that are better than me is difficult because I am somewhat lacking in all department, grammar especially. Making characters similar to myself is agonizing to me, even more so when they cannot go through character development because their creator has none ever since birth.

Porn I can do, because it is porn and it has a low bar to clear. Not saying that there is no standard, there is still a passing grade.

Afaik, readers in RR lean more on LitRPG stories. That, or you didn't put 'famous' tags like 'harem' and 'isekai' like my story, hence your work went under the radar.

I remember writing another story, DECK, and uploaded it on RR since 2017.

It went under the radar until I deleted my account in 2020, only when I uploaded The Human Saint is Bored there.
