The only 2 I can really see myself doing are the Goblin slaying one and the merchant one

Which merchant one? the only merchant lvl 4 I know is the escort duty which has a prerequisite of city guard training.

Ok then, taking account of your AG exp, if you do city guard training > escort duty > 2 dire wolf subjugation then you would get 785 exp. Assuming you succeed all quests.

You can add Street Patrol after Guard training for 150 exp just to be safe if you want.
