A gentle breeze sweeps through the morning air, causing strands of her black hairs to rise and wave behind as she accelerated with swift movement. With each hurried step, her skirt flutters like a flag caught in the wind. Pink petals of sakura lying on the floor beneath scatters away by the force of her steps.
*Bing Bong Bing.
As the starting bell rings, indicating the beginning of another school day, the school guard, Mr. Furuta, emerges from his post adjust his waist band of his black uniform. He cautiously scans the surrounding, his eyes darting back and forth.
At a distance, he sees a siluetoulle of a girl waving her hands and rushing towards the school. He muses whether she could succeed this time, as he begins to close the massive gate of "Sukuraburuhabu high school."
The girl yells and accelerate her rush after seeing mr.furata's action.
"Matte kudasai... matte kudasai... Furuta-san"
She quickly grabs a book out of her backpack and starts waving.
Mr.Furuta's sleepy eyes suddenly sparkle with joy and he stops closing the gate, attentively looking at the book with his eyes darted to its cover.
"How to hide form dragons vol1. ~ by tachibana soto"
He feels as if the cover began to rapidly zoom toward him, the next moment he find himself sprawled on the ground with the book smacked on his forehead.
"The audacity of this girl, how dare she throw a book at a old man. I was going to let you in... You know."
With a formal yet sleepy tone, Mr. Tanaka addresses the approaching girl.
"Ohayou gozaimasu, Furuta-san!" Offering her hand, the helps the guard stand up.
"Ohayou, Miss Ray. Running late again, I see." His voice carries a touch of boredom. Furuta-san, known to his friends by nickname 'Flutter', once dreamed of adventuring and seeking new knowledge.
However, life had other plans for Flutter. Circumstances led him to take on the role of a school guard at the local high school, a job he initially saw as temporary but gradually became stuck in. Day after day, he found himself trapped in a monotonous routine, guarding the gates of the same school he once attended as a student. Then one day a little girl came to him, and handed a book.
"Furata-san, if you are bored. Why not read books in your shifts? I have lot of them lying around at mother's home."
Form that day, Furata found solace in the pages of books. They became his escape from the reality of his surroundings, transporting him to far-off lands and thrilling adventures.
Young Ray picks the book lying on ground nearby dusting it. and carefully hands it over to mr.furata while giving me her most angelic smile.
"Sorry about that."
"Ah, the latest novel. Thank you, Miss Ray. I'll make sure to return it promptly. Aren't you getting late for class?" Smiling he points out.
"Ahhhhhhh....right. See ya furata-san" she rushes toward the hallway.
And as Mr. Furata resumes his duty, closing the gates behind her, his demeanor shifts once more to one of quiet contemplation, his mind already wandering to the pages of the book awaiting him.
'Running is hallway is not permitted.' Ray read out a warning pharse written above the hallway while ignoring it. She can see her class form here and turn her head to look toward the large clock hanging in mid of the hallway toward the gym.
"7:08 am Right on time. Well almost."
The next moment she collided into someone. while trying to stand up she hurriedly spat out apologizes.
"Go..gomen nasai, are you ok?"
She looked at the person with whom she collided, only to her shock, she find herself. Her facial features and clothing matching hers. A mirror copy of her lying ahead. She blinks to clear her eyes, only to find this momentary hallucination disappear and find a foreign looking student lying on floor.
