I've seen the best results when the developer decided to forget that it's a program for making role-playing games and focus on making something else or visual novels. Paradoxically, RPG Maker is better for making VNs than VN Maker. In some cases, I've seen the program's limitations encourage creativity. The most famous example is Yume Nikki.

Honestly, it's cool for making VNs with RPG mechanics. Though, for pure VNs, why not Ren'py?

Despite Sir Lovecraft's fears, I find his stories strangely uplifting... when I first read Call of Cthulhu I didn't think of "horrors beyond our comprehension", but "look at the great and terrific things that the human mind can imagine." , Through the Gates of Silver Key is the perfect example of that.

I'm thinking of making a text-based interactive novel on Twine, so it's basically just a sweet and simple HTML game. If I use Ren'Py or something I'd never get things done in a timely manner, not to mention I'd have to find sprites, backgrounds and all that jazz

Ahh... Good point about not using Ren'Py. It's a little bad in my view.

Yes you can confirm it works, but you can't comment about how mind-boggling the code is.

Already read the manga since release, the anime was definitely one of the best adaptations I've seen.

Frieren? Yes, it's calming. The OP is one of the best last year and probably this year too.

Math and physics are my most recent fixation, I would like to blame Isaac Arthur, H.P Lovecraft(to me his works are science fiction) and Stephen Baxter. On the plus side I found that set theory is ridiculously useful in making OP characters

A nice chapter. However, it's not clear to me whether you're playing a role or not. Because some things can come across as somewhat unpleasant. In the context of a character, it's acceptable, but sometimes the boundary of the fourth wall becomes blurred in these realms.
