Okay so time to create quests with 100's of pages of loss conditions then for super obvious but problematic things! orz.... Plus treat it like a simulation not an RPG don't let common sense chan go to waste!
:blob_shock: 100 loss conditions what would that even look like?

I just checked the map, I didn't check the rest of the World-Anvil site before asking... Maybe I should have done that... :sweating_profusely: :sweating_profusely: :sweating_profusely:

An event category doesn't seem like a bad idea though!
No worries, most people don't use the site at all xD
Maybe I shouldn't make suggesttions for the site when I haven't updated it in like 10 years *sweats*

I disagree! I think evaluators have the freedom do/say whatever they want really, sometimes you'll get a snarky evaluator sometimes you'll get a lenient one, that's what makes evaluating fun rather than just an automatic process no? It's not that big of a deal if your quest gets failed does it? AG isn't really just about grinding levels and EXP (at least in my opinion)
*nods*
I'm trying to help Liana develop through the quests and ss's more than doing quests for the sake of the rewards.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have made her avoid the quests that leave the city for stuff like farming, exploring, hunting, wood-cutting, village protecting, etc...
Heck, she's even avoiding the tavern quest to be a maid due to her traumatic experience there - which also results in her not talking in the tavern thread.

Btw, I'm making the slime horde quests give more gold than the norm and stuff, to show that the guild is paying extra because it's a pressing issue~

I have 4 quests in mind, 2 done~

Updating it all is so time-consuming >.<

Perhaps you want to volunteer to take my editor position? :blob_happy: :blob_happy:
I still remember when I got coerced into gaining access to the GM account and becoming an editor for the worldanvil site ;-;
Actually, on that topic, I'm actually considering moving away from World Anvil.

Google Sites actually seems fairly reasonable.

Here is a simple home page.

And simply by sharing the edit link, anyone can edit the site.

This way we're not limited by the number of editors that World Anvil has... which is three. XD

I used Pierre in my first adventure and also im using the two-flower and tri-flower as well.
I would too~ Looks like we're moving away from that site though!
Rip my past hard work

All I did was copy and paste things from the library over and over again, copy links to the posts, maybe reworded some stuff or corrected grammar/spelling and bam updated world anvil site. It's really not tech-savvy lol, just super time-consuming~

Haha yeah, we don't have an 'event' category on the website and that marker was already there when i got to it so I just updated it with info rather than making a new marker specifically for the slime horde. Probably should make that category though huh, like when I made the NPC category just for Pierre xD

I vaguely remember the quest report you're talking about, but the slime horde itself has always been in the south east. They have a nest they originate from and everything ^^'

Yeah, that's also the one of the main reasons for staying. I'm trying to develop Cassel into finishing his arc before I ever choose to leave. But, still it can get disheartening if a quest fails for a condition you're not even aware of. Of course adding counter measures would be nice but that would reduce the diversity of evaluations. A difference of values I suppose. I mainly prefer predictable outcomes over the risker options. I rather go for the lowest denominator than brave the harder standards above me. I'd go for the beaten path then the unbeaten one. Etc. I suppose that makes me quite boring though. :blob_sweat:

A few more changes I’m considering — feedback welcome.

A: Require sources from two different players to be able to add something to the Library.
  • Objective is to reduce clutter.
  • Focus on entities that are shared between multiple players.
  • Encourage players to get other players to agree on heir observations.
  • This would mean that Library is not really intended for personal NPCs or personal backstory components.
B: Require participants from three different players to consider something an “event”.
  • Add an “event” section to the site to track big plots.
  • To prevent players from adding small plots, have a minimum player count involved in order to get it on the site.
C: Require quest reports from three different players to open a region fo a quest board.
  • Ensure that a diversity of opinions go into establishing a new region.
